12 February 2008 - 11:40 PMYeah, batteries should not be included......anyway, so what do you think of the tac 8? I hear it has air leak problums, but i like it cause its realistic and the "slide" area isnt huge.
Thank you very much by the way.
The new 98 custom platinum has a quick thread flatline. But yeah, im debating on response trigger, i didnt realise its like making it full auto, and because i have no intention of getting a class three license in real life, i dont need a fully auto.
Well, I love the idea of the Tac8. I've heard mixed reviews. The leakage seems to be the most talked about. I also hear they are great. If your going to a CQB field, I hear there is no better weapon than the Tac8.
Our team capt. posted the article about the 98 Plat. I didn't really read it though, as I have my Automag of choice with pneumatic trigger; and not looking for a Tippmann right now. It would just collect dust anyways.
If you don't think you want or need full auto, then think about an electronic trigger, you can usually set 'em for 3 shot burst too... and if your still on the fence about em, play against a team of ppl who rock their markers on burst and full auto. You'll notice you feel outgunned... at least till you wrap your noggin around the fact that their guns sound like assault rifles.
12 February 2008 - 12:35 AMThe problem with electros is they require batteries where a Tippmann doesn't. And you can always add electronics to a Tippmann. I'd go for the A-5 over the 98 though... that cyclone is great, a force feed hopper that works on waste gas, no need for a Halo or similar there. From there, the A-5 flat line seems easer to remove than the 98's and of course you could go Response trigger or E grip for the A-5. Oh, and go for your performace upgrades before grabbing the cosmetics.
A sidearm is great for when you have gun trouble. Last game I played, first I ran outta paint but didn't walk as I counted as a body. Got paint and then ran outta air after about 10 more shots... if I had had a Tac 8 or other, I could have kept tossing paint at em.
In the end, shop around, play a bit with the stuff you wanna buy and see what you like. Really, really try before you buy if you can. I have bought too much stuff that I've resold or have just lying about because I bought first, then played with it and I didn't like it.
