07 March 2009 - 10:03 PMOk, so I was going through some of my stuff today, I was looking over my HPA tank, and realized that the plastic/glass protective covering over the gauge needle was gone. So, basically, I need a new gauge, unless I can find the plastic/glass thing and put it back in.
After a bit of searching here, it looks like you can, once that thank is empty, unscrew the gauge, and just replace it. My questions are:
1) Is it ok if I use a normal wrench? I was looking at gauges and saw a special wrench by smartparts, do I need to use that?
2) Is white teflon tape ok for the repair?
3) Is it critical to have something covering the gauge needle to play? If I can't get the part in time, can I just cover the reg and gauge with some cloth to protect it and run that way? Or is that even necessary?
Thanks in advance for the help, I'm going to Hunt For Bin-Laden at tactical paintball next weekend, so I want to make sure I've got a solution to be running HPA.
17 February 2009 - 10:27 PMWarning - Not graphic, but kinda scary.
Ok, so I was killing time, and ran across this video of a kid doing a William Tell with a paintball gun.
So my question here is, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING? I mean, paintball masks were made for a reason. Look around youtube if you care to, I wish this was the only one like it. I'm just wondering how stupid you have to be to have several people go along with it, and video tape it.
These people are giving/going to give paintball a bad name. Where are their parents?
Ok, well I just saw this video and wanted to talk about it and see what the responsible community's collective opinions are. Basically, I wanted to get the rant out of my system. Mods, if you think this is not appropriate, please go ahead and delete it.
02 February 2009 - 11:54 PMMy team, The Texas Legion, is hosting a game at Black Ops Tactical Paintball in Huntsville Texas on Feb 7th. This game is a Stargate themed sceanrio, with 2 bases, objectives , and an actual about 12' working stargate. Ok, so its not working, but we have a huge gate that is pretty cool.
Black Ops Tactical Paintball (BOT) is a new field that was started early this summer. There is a lot of potential for great scenarios. We hosted a smaller one back in December to work out some bugs, and we should be ready to go!
For more information, visit BOT's Website.
Alternatively, post here, PM me whatever you have to do. I will direct your question and help it get to the right people.
So if your in Central Texas, and not doing anything this Saturday, come out to check out this new field, and have a blast with us. Seriously, we hacked a lot of paths with machetes and moved a bunch of truck and tractor tires to make additional bunkers for this game.
Hope to see you there!
12 January 2009 - 08:21 PMOk, so I posted my VS3 on craig's list, and found a buyer. How should I do the trade, meet at Wal-mart or some public place? Should I have him come to my apartment? Anybody have any advice?
