17 July 2009 - 01:00 PMHey all, I need some help
There's a good chance I might be going into the Airforce next summer with my cousin on the buddy system. I need to get a daily workout routine going. As far as weight training goes- not an issue. I don't need more muscle, I can already stand up 700 pound skidder tires. What I need to work on is my endurance running, and general fitness. I was thinking something along the lines of this combanation:
Daily run of 1 mile
As far as runtimes- I just ran a 7 minute mile and wasn't going all out. I don't know where I had it in me, I haven't run like that in 5 years, but I hope to make a habit of it. I just wan't to work my way up to long runs. Like 2-2.5 miles runs.
So, my question to you is this- what kind of dialy routine can you help my come up with?? What are some routines you use??
07 May 2009 - 05:31 AMI think I am loosing the tranny in my dakota. I know the auto dodges have a rep for that, so I am not that bummed about it.( I'm actually quite happy it took the abuse as long as it did)
It has been shifting ruff as of late, and last night on the way home it was grinding prettty bad. When and if I replace it, I am going to make the conversion from auto to 5 spd, as I hate having an auto. NOw don't go tellling me how hard it is or how much work it is to hang a clutch pedal; I've been there, done that. It isn't easy, but worth it.
My question is, where can I find a cheap 5spd for my truck? I have looked a couple places online, and I am gonna call a local parts garage in a minute, but does anyone know of a place online I can get one cheap?? It is a 5.2L 4wd. 1998 model.
Any help would be appreciated....Thanks!
08 June 2008 - 02:50 AMWell, at noon yesterday, I graduated high school and walked out for the last time. I am going to miss some of the people, I am going to stay in contact with some, but I will NEVER miss the school itself.
I was going to write yesterday, but I was to busy at my party.
27 April 2008 - 04:50 AMLAst night we were having supper, and it started looking smokey around our house, so dad and I went outside to check it out. WE heard the people across the street hollering. WE thought they were probably just burning their feild( all that is across the road is just a woodlot with a twent acre field) so it was no big deal. THen, we saw one person come out of the road going like thunder across the bay, and we knew we had trouble. Dad and I went to help and by that time, it was out of control. The whole field was burning, and it was going into the woods on our side of the field, and the far corner.
We we trying to find everyone when we realized the flames were under their skidder( logging machine), and that was gonna be like a bomb going off. we tried to pull it out, but we couldn't see or breathe in the smoke, and that is when the fire deptment got there. I just got off the fire dept., so they gave me tanker truck's hose and let me at it. I spent the next 3 hours putting out a woods fire and keeping the flames from going toward our house. To get the fire out, I drained a 2500 gallon tanker twice by myself. I had to drag 300 fett of water filled line back and forth across the tip of the feild about 14 times. at about 9 O'clock, everything was out, and it was over.
Im just glad we caught it before it got to our house.
22 January 2008 - 03:16 PMToday, I went for my class A big rig license, and aced the test first try. The examiner said that if I drive like I did with him, I will never have problems.
