Wow.......I'm so B) from all this.........

I think (and this is just my opinion) David is just trying to create a league that is a little different than others that are out there and he wants it to be a little 'old school'. So here's my 2 cents.....

    1. Allow any marker into the game.
    2. Semi-mode only
    3. Electros require a 15bps or less feedrate (A5's X7's w/ EGrip allowed to run stock hopper, maybe let'em have 3 round burst)
    4. I like the idea of limiting paint.....3-4 pod max.

    Nuff said......go play paintball........

Hey Dan, "Peter" from 'Thunder Down Under' wants his "juicebox" back. I guess you must have left it at the show the last time you were in Vegas. :P

Seriously though, we'll see you in Mesquite....looking forward to seeing you guys again.
  4. In Topic: How did this weekend go????

Finally getting a chance to get on the computer to say a few things:

    1. A BIG thank you to Jayson for keeping this league around and making it better every year. We look forward to every SPPL event we attend.

    2. LCP, great hospitality and awesome fields.......wish we were a little closer to you so we could attend some scenarios there.

    3. A HUGE thanks to the ref's..........by far the best we've seen yet. PaleRider, Krazy, ThirdI and your staff did a great job and we appreciate you efforts very much.

    4. The sponsors of SPPL......can't thank you enough.

    5. To all the teams that attended the finals or any qualifier......thanks for representing a league that puts emphasis on playing with honor and sportsmanship. Let's all try to get more teams to try this league and help expand it.

This past weekend is going to be one I will never forget. My team (Suicide Kings) had a great time and it was a pleasure to meet some new teams, you Canadians rock! Wish we could have had mother nature bring the rain later, because we don't see much rain in Vegas and we're not used to playing in it. We want to thank everyone who voted for us for the 'sportsmanship' award. With some of the team drama we had this year, it was a big surprise to all of us and I personally took it to heart. It is a real honor to receive such an award and we appreciate it greatly. Thanks for an awesome weekend and looking forward to next year......

Not trying to stir the pot up Lo, just trying to understand how and why things turned out the way they did in KC. I really don't see how things can get out of hand by asking a few questions, I'm not trying to bash anyone. I tried to reach Schloob on Thurs. and Friday, but like I said....we played phone tag and I'm sure we'll get together next week after he gets back from Michigan.

One thing that does disturb me Lo is that you stated that Schloob was being generous and willing to compensate a team which traveled a great distance with only 12 players for 3 hours of paintball. Some teams have to travel a little farther than others to get to these events and some teams can't always get a full 15 man roster, that's just the way it is. We went to Utah (with 11 players) and Oregon (with 7 Players) to compete. Our traveling times (especially mine being from Phoenix) are probably just as high as BLC to KC, but we chose to fly. So hearing that a team "may have" received compensation for such reasons kinda bothers me, but I'll get over it.

Please don't take my words as having hate for another team, player or individual. I'm just trying to understand things better. We had thought about going to CA (due to a low turnout) and compete in a higher division, but we didn't want to jeopardize any chance of competing for a Rookie division title. We may have made a mistake and maybe that's why we're in the Rookie division after all.

Congrats to BLC on your victory, you are a great group of guys and we're looking forward to seeing you again in GA. Maybe we can get some beers after Nationals......
