05 March 2009 - 06:32 PMOut of those choices I would say get a Corvette. If 75k isn't unreasonable for you then get the Z06. I would say get the ZR1 but list price on those is going to be somewhere in the 107k range. The Z06 actually gets decent mileage if you can learn to accelerate properly in it and keep your foot out of it (estimated at 25 highway/18 city mpg last I looked). That's actually better mileage than my Chevy Colorado is supposed to get. You could wait until the sexy Z28 is released. It's supposed to be a 500+hp beast and it'll be cheaper than the Z06. I'm a Chevy kinda guy if you haven't caught on yet.
Other than a Chevy I would look at an Aston Martin or a Mercedes AWG (Mercedes performance division). Those are about the only foreign cars that interest me, plus they aren't as common as some of the other Euro cars.
05 March 2009 - 06:00 PMThis professor obviously isn't as educated as he/she should be. Gun crimes are typically lower in areas where there is a well armed public and concealed carry is allowed for licensed individuals. I'm a Democrat but I even realize those facts are reason enough to allow concealed carry. And if they pass the assault weapons ban again I'm going to get a list of everyone that votes yes on it and start anti-them groups.
05 March 2009 - 05:41 PMhow are we going to be handling the tank this time? I know at SCD many people were displeased with the tank, and not just the whiny speedballer that was almost hospitalized.
01 March 2009 - 01:03 PMOn their website it says they've had issues with their e-mail in the past and at one point had over 200 unanswered emails that couldn't be accessed. You might try e-mailing them again or do as Puzuma suggested and call them.
01 March 2009 - 12:49 PMI think it completely depends on your reasoning for it. If you're sponsored by a company then wearing their gear makes perfect sense, you're spending money on their products and advertising for them and possibly helping them stay in business. If you're doing it because the gear actually feels that good then that's a good reason for doing it. Personally I'd like to get a matching set of Empire or Dye jersey and pants. I think they have good designs and good quality. I just can't get over the big butt logos that companies put all over their jerseys. Buying their products with the giant logo on them is stupid. You're paying for their product and essentially paying them to advertise their product. So I stick with my Reebok moisture wicking shirt (with no logo by the way) and my JT pants that I got on a deal. And if you're just doing it to look Agg............
