Topics I've Started
23 December 2008 - 09:18 AMYesterday I received a nifty new Houndstooth direct from PPS I didn't need it but it was part of their huge sale they recently did and while PPS is known for a lot of things low cost isn't one of them so I jumped on it while I could. Anyway I opened it up and since any new gear immediately causes me to act like a six year old on Christmas morning I had to air it right up and test it out. I pop in a twelve gram and take aim at a handy clothes hamper and BANG!! there's a new hole in the hamper...
I was unaware that shipping new markers loaded was something that was done by any company but it reconfirms the old safety adage to always treat any marker as if it was loaded even if the marker is brand new right out of the box and purchased from a reputable company that really should know better.
Oh and the Houndstooth is awesome and I never really liked the hamper anyway.
09 May 2008 - 08:38 AMI've just placed an order for a new PPS Pug stock feed, plain old brass finish and a 45 frame. After I bought my Etek last month my wife went a little nuts and told me to sell some of my stuff so one of my mags went and the Phantom went and while the Etek is fun I really missed playing stock class so my summer marker buying is now in full swing.
Pictures will of course be added when it shows up as required by SOPC regulations.
14 April 2008 - 12:12 PMJust wondering what others thoughts on the matter are do you consider upgrades as something important to you? Do you buy a marker with the intention of dumping some money into it? Do you think a marker that needs upgrades is even worth buying? Any other rambling or musings you care to add on the subject are welcome.
It's a slow day at work and I still have three hours to kill yippee
02 March 2008 - 03:45 PMI was over at my brother's place yesterday and we got to discussing the upcoming paintball season and it seems his BT-4 is finally dead through the well meaning repair jobs of two of his clueless friends it went from a small leak to being totally inoperative. He wants to buy a new marker but his wife thinks he should just rent one and I think she should be hit in the head with a wrench and dumped off a bridge but that is just me. Being the nice brother that I am I decided I'm going to buy him a new marker for his birthday. My first thought was to buy him a minimag but he seems to really be into the whole milsim marker thing I just don't want to buy him another lowend blow back. So milsim fans I need something milsim, CO2 compatible and fast that isn't a lowend is there anything that fits the bill or is he getting a minimag?
14 February 2008 - 10:51 AMJust a quick SLI question I got a videocard given to me and I'm thinking of linking it to my existing card but I didn't have the bridge for it I went to a computer shop and they didn't have an SLI bridge but they gave me a Crossfire one. Before I get home and get everything taken apart will the Crossfire bridge work or should I hit up another shop for an SLI?
