Topics I've Started
27 June 2008 - 02:50 AMSo, I decided to go and see the movie Wanted at midnight. To my surprise, the movie played out a lot differently than I would have expected after seeing so many of the ads. However, this wasn't exactly a good thing. While the movie was pretty entertaining, I was somewhat disappointed with how the story progressed, and especially with the few scenes before it ended (to those who have seen it: not the last segment, but what was before that). I found the action scenes to be good, but I thought the movie deviated a little too much from what I would have assumed it was about: assassinations. But, the special effects were pretty good, and overall I was glad that I saw it.
But, that's just my opinion, written by me in whatever attention span I have at about 3 in the morning.
What did you guys think?
Also, sorry if this is in another thread, but I did search for it.
EDIT: Also, what appeared to be many inconsistencies in the loading and/or cocking of some of the guns really bothered me. But, that's probably just me.
At any rate, though, it is worth seeing.
04 February 2008 - 05:45 PMSorry if this is the wrong section, but since it technically is somewhat paintball related, I figured this would be the place to put it. Feel free to move it if I'm wrong, though.
Okay, so a while back I purchased a DM7 and a jersey from Dave, a member of the now gone team Trauma. I received the DM7 very quickly, but I quickly noticed that I didn't receive the jersey with it. I messaged him back after a while, and was told that he had just forgotten, and would have it out soon. Another while later, I still hadn't seen any jersey, but upon messaging him, I was informed that it had already been sent.
Now, about a month goes by, and I message him every now and then, but receive no response... I just see that he is reading them (this is on PBNation). This confused me, because he usually responded very quickly to his messages whenver I sent them.
Anyway, I finally received a note from him today, only about a month and a half after. However, my paranoid senses came in. In all of his messages, he responded quickly. He also generally used proper grammar and punctuation, and it looked pretty neat. Also, he always finished the note with a "-Dave". This note, however, was all writted in lowercase, with no finishing name...
The last note I know I received from Dave:
"Sorry man, with work family, and all I have been swamped. I got the jersey out last week....
Here's another previous one:
"I could have screwed up. I'll get you one. I had to ship out like 30 things this week!
But, here's the one I found in my inbox today:
"im at work and have them here.
sorry I havent done it yet
let me get your address and I'll put it in the mail today"
Maybe I'm just completely paranoid, but this doens't seem like Dave writing this. Does anyone know him, or know of anything that could be going wrong?
Thanks for your help.
14 December 2007 - 02:38 PMSo, I was driving home today when I saw a package outside. I then decided it was time to make a story of a few pictures.
What is this package?
Awesome, I finally get a UL barrel.
I'm glad the camera focused on the box...
Ah, I like it. Also, I got an amazing deal (in my opinion) on it, so that's an extra win. I'll have to try it out later, but for now, I can just stare at it.
So, what do you guys think?
23 September 2007 - 07:12 PMOkay, I don't know what happened, but apparently my driver for my DVD stopped working, or isn't registered anymore. I am trying to help my friend with his project, but the computer says the driver isn't working or isn't registered, and thus won't even "see" that there is a DVD in there. It has worked, of course, up until now, but when it matters, has decided that it doesn't. Is there a way to get it back quickly? it's not like I removed it or anything; the damned thing is attached to my computer.
I don't know if this has been asked before, but I need help QUICKLY.
25 August 2007 - 04:42 PMI've had this Halo for less than a year, and have always had thoughts that it may be slow, for it seemed that my gun was always shooting a lot slower than others. I thought that it was just my slow fingers, because I never really noticed a difference even when I changed battteries.
One time, though, I was waiting on the field for the game to be over (we were out but just at the back of the field), and a few guys and I were dry-firing to pass the time. It seemed that my gun was shooting a lot faster (eyes were off), so I thought back again to the Halo.
Now, today, I went out back to make sure there were no leaks after a thorough lubing and o-ring change, and decided to shoot some paint, too. The gun once again seemed slow, so I turned off the eyes, and sure enough, after maybe 2 seconds, I chopped a ball. What? Keep in mind, this is just semi, and not even that fast. I don't think I should be able to outshoot a Halo B with something like 13 bps or whatever I was shooting.
So, here's my problem: My Halo B is really slow. Why?
I've talked to my friend who has a Halo, and he says that maybe the Rip Drive is slowing it down, or maybe it needs lubing. I've never heard of this before, but I thought that may be feasible. I myself, though, have no idea what could be wrong with it.
Any/all help is greatly appreciated.
