After polling roughly 25 spec-ops users on their typical choice of gear, I have come up with a nearly-complete list of what players bring onto the field.
Main marker: (Standard, hopper-loaded marker)
0-10 Pods, (50, 100, 140 rd)
Air tank (Only if using a remote line)
Back up air tank
Backup marker (pistol) / stock class marker:
12 gram CO2 cartridges
10 round tubes/magazines (depending on type)
Water bottle (or bladder)
Barrel Blocking Device
Smoke bombs and lighter (if needed)
Scenario specific gear:
Extra batteries and tools to disassemble (if used, i.e. hopper and electronic trigger)
Role-specific equipment/props (I need a little help with this one, I haven't gone to a scenario where things of this nature were used)
12 grams / tank
sabot rounds/grenades/Nerf rockets
If there are any other items that one should bring with them onto the playing field, please let me know. I'd also like to expand this to include links to specific pieces of gear that one may use to carry these items.
16 March 2008 - 04:36 PMSimple question, what gear do you usually carry with you onto the field. Primarily for smaller games, (no bigger than 30 on a side) though you can post anything. I'm primarily asking this to make sure I have room for everything on the vest I am building.
14 March 2008 - 05:28 PMI've built two PVC air cannons before, both of which require the use of a compressor. This time I want to step it up a little...
I'm planning on making a breech-loading air cannon with a solenoid sprinkler valve triggered by the trigger frame of a standard maker.
However, I'm stuck with regards to getting the air into the cannon. I have a remote-lined compressed air tank, and I know I'll need a regulator on it. But how should I stick it all together?
