Topics I've Started
17 January 2013 - 04:43 PMI'm interested in help putting together a shoulder holster setup using soft goods from special ops paintball.
I would like a shoulder holster like this one. ( specopsbrand.com / holsters ) modified by eliminating the pistol holster and duel mag pouch, and replacing them with MOLLE. Each side being 3 Loop X 3 Loop in size.
My goal is to attach specialopspaintball MOLLE mag pouches and MOLLE Pistol holster for my own customizable loadout, while keeping my paint warm and dry under my jacket.
06 November 2010 - 10:23 AMI don't think this topic has been approached yet. First strike aside, I'd like to touch on a couple of the subtle design changes.
I'v been looking at the 8.1 and wondering. I would consider the following to be a step backwards
#1 Rubber detents instead of metal detents.
#2 The need to eject the mag to remove and squeegie the barrel. I never felt like I was going to lose my barrel before. But trying to squeegie should be interesting now.
Edit: It seams this is only when there are 1 or 0 balls left in the marker. Or when using 8.0 magazines in the marker, which requires a simple barrel modification anyway, which can correct this issue as well.
#3 The middle receiver screw (most important one) now on the bottom, and threaded into the receiver itself. minor I guess.
#4 Thicker barrel. Looks
#5 Loss of mag counter. A simple mod made the old counter work and I always relied on it to prevent me from changing a 12 gram too early, or too late.
#6 Loss of anodizing. Probably the biggest con.
I would consider the following to be improvements
#1 New milling rear. Makes the marker look smaller in the back. Subjective.
#2 Flat black color. A pro to some, But its painted not anodized now. This is a Big con to me.
#3 Rear block removal. Ease of maintenance.
#4 Tool less 12 gram change.
Overall. The only painful setbacks are the loss of anodizing, and the bigger barrel.
10 April 2010 - 10:47 AMHi. Iv had My T8 for a couple years now and I was thinking about converting to 8.1
Does any body have info on converting my T8 and 4 x mags to 8.1 ?
Is it cost effective ?
Where can I get the parts ?
What are the differences between a converted T8 mag, or an all new T8.1 mag?
03 April 2010 - 10:29 AMIm in the market for a "booby" tank. Im looking at some from various sites including ebay.
Paintballgear.ca carries a Ninja 49ci and a Ninja 50ci. The bottles in the picture are shaped differently and Ninja's website seams to confirm that these are two different bottles.
the 49ci being 9 1/2" * 4 3/8"
the 50ci being 8 3/4" * 4 1/2"
But here is the issue.
Im looking for the guerrilla air Booby tank for the short Regulator.
Its proving a little harder to find. I found one on ebay but here is the issue. The image is that of the 49ci, not of the booby tank. But the description says 8"
does guerrilla air have a booby tank? or do they use the 49ci bottle.
18 August 2009 - 05:46 PMI hope this can be taken as a helpful hint from an E customer who cant just walk into the store and view the goods in person. You guys should get some better pictures of your gear and soft goods up on the Spec ops store.
I'm a 3 time customer of Spec Ops (once was custom gear) and the one trend Iv noticed, is with each Order the soft goods (kit bags, clothing, pouches/holsters etc) have always way exceeded my expectations based on the photos on the site.
The descriptions have very little detail in them, and often aren't even for the product being viewed. The Pictures are vague and the colors are poorly represented.
What are you afraid your stuff is ugly or something? Give your E customers a better view and you'll sell more.
P.S The Spec Ops undercover shirts (recently discontinued) were an awesome item. I had one from last year, and bought 4x more on clearance for $5 ea. Wish I had bought more.
motherboard1 hasn't added any friends yet.
