01 April 2008 - 10:50 PMthe only thing that is mildly wowish from spyder is the t board IMO
It is the Tadao board that comes with the RSX, and unfortunately it is not made by Spyder. With the M7 upgrade chip it is an outstanding product though.
Back to the MR2 with eyes, I love Kingman but am still not surprized by this action. Kingman is one of the best at taking something old, changing one or two things on it, and then calling it new and improved. They have been doing it for years. Look at how many different variants there are of most of their old markers. I think there are like three of the Imagine, Pilot, and a couple of others.
Oh well, I will still buy them.
29 January 2008 - 03:00 PMThe VS2 can use CO2 also, but like the ion it is just not recommended to use it. I would suggest trying to find someone at your local field that has one or the other of these. Then see if you can shoot them and determine which one you like the best.
As for me personally, I am also an older-style Spyder owner. I was seriously considering upgrading to an Ion. Luckily, a guy that I play bought one and let me try it out. I say "luckily" because I did not really like the feel of it. It just did not feel comfortable to me. They are not bad markers, but just not the right one for me.
It was said earlier, but the main advantages the VS2 has over an Ion FOR YOU PERSONALLY are that (1) you are familar with how the internals work and how to perform maintenance on them, and (2) you will be able to still continue to use your current barrel and other Spyder specific upgrades you may have.
29 January 2008 - 12:40 AMActually there is quite a bit people have done to lower the operating pressure of their Spyder markers. Check out "Low Pressure F.A.Q." and "Project LP" on OtterSC Customs website. It will give you all of the info you need about going LP with a Spyder.
Otter's Spyder page
Scroll down some and you will see the section on LP.

for those that dnt know thats an e-cocker with a pumpkit instead of pneumatics and an mq valve.
I would have to agree that these types of markers are pretty quite. Here is a video that I saw on PBNation featuring one of these markers. Please excuse the guys who made the video. I don't know who they are, but I can tell that probably a little too much "fun" went into the making of it.
