05 December 2007 - 06:17 PMgive me a lightweight hopper that delivers 15+ with great battery life and I will buy it. Anything to get that brick of a Reloader off my marker.
28 November 2007 - 10:19 AMThe Ion is a better "sniper" platform than any Tippmann in my opinion. An Ion is...
- more silent
- more gas efficient
I would suggest buying an agitating hopper before the Q Loader. Even with the Q Loader as your primary you might prefer to go back to the hopper on days you do not feel like dragging out the silo and Q pods.
I used a Q Loader for about a year and just switched back to the hopper. Double the ammo capacity, easy to fill a pod instead of winding up a Q Pod, etc. I also used a buttstock up until recently, and now I am tank-on all the way. For me, tourney skills absolutely translate into the woods arena, even when sniping. In that respect, Id way rather use an Ion over most other low end markers.
27 November 2007 - 02:29 PMHehe, good eyes to catch yourself in that pic. I got a sock on my tank as a cover as well but covered the whole thing with Camoform self adhesive tape. Its not sticky tape but it sticks to itself. Easy to remove and re-use.
... and another balaclava! Seriously. Vancouver must be the ninja capital of the world.
27 November 2007 - 04:57 AMHey! I was there!
Great pics of the event. I did not expect them to turn out with such high quality. I was in a few of those pics too.
Me, all business.
... with the package (that's 4 bucks a minute!)
My team insignia (property of me so please do not use it)
The event was great. Our team, the Marauders, did well and made about $600. Each of our squaddies walked away with $35 each. Playing for money rules.
The North Shore Renegades and CSPO were all great to play with, as well as other squads. The refs did a great job. The entire event was well thought out and very entertaining. Supplying "paint drops", smoke grenades and maps for players was also very cool.
What sucked was the lack of netting at the front of the field, where anyone could shoot directly into the mask-off staging area. Absolutely unsafe and pretty lame. In fact there were plenty of totally unsafe areas without netting. I was warned before attending the event that this might be an issue, so I had my mask on most of the day unless I was in the parking lot.
There was a retarded amount of balaclavas on the field, and to this day I have no idea why they are so popular in British Columbia. There were also several players playing without face shields, only goggles and a balaclava. That should not be allowed on the field, period. There were a lot of safety issues that seemed to go ignored by the staff at Panther Paintball and that means I will not be attending any non-scenario games there in the future. I hope they get these things settled before the next scenario.
Thanks a lot for posting your pics Russianfrontphotos. It was a lot of fun reliving memories while going over them. CSPO rules.
22 November 2007 - 01:45 AMIf anyone had absolute knowledge that they were being judged by a malevolent all knowing being they would be serving that deities interest ALL THE TIME. Every waking moment. No breaks. No time to shop fo cool clothes so all you'd wear is a robe. No time for music instead of hymns in his name. No time for sports unless they are somewhat religious in some sense. Only time for worship, performing basic human needs in order to go on living to worship, and encouraging others to worship. If I believed in a god that is exactly what I would do. Dude, If ANYONE had proof a specific God exists they would instantly become a monk, plain and simple. That inst even a topic for debate.
I want any religious person in this room to admit that they have absolute knowledge that the deity that they worship exists, yet they DO NOT dedicate every waking minute to serving that deity in everything they do. Seriously, not a single person who has proof that god exists would be drinking beer, passing the time, paintballin', watching the game, etc. They would be a monk. Thats it.
People simply do not follow their religions for the most part.... except for the big stuff that "counts". A person was stoned to death in the bible for breaking the commandment "Thou shalt not work on the sabbath day (Sunday)" and yet most chain stores are open every Sunday in America. A person in the bible was killed when he broke the commandment "Thou shalt not commit adultery" and yet thousands of cheaters get away with this unharmed. It says in the book of Timothy that a woman can not hold a position of authority over a man and can not speak in church, or wear gold or pearls or braid their hair.... and yet they do everyday. Not only do religious people not uphold tenets of their own religion but they do things that are very anti-religious, such as do things they are specifically told not to do.
Face it. Religion is a "pick and choose" thing. No one plucks out their eye for having a lustful thought even though that is what you are instructed to do... yet other parts will be followed ot the letter. As an atheist it is strange to see religion function this way. Usually, when you got a rule book you stick to the rules... and I imagine if the book was written by a god then there is no room for debate.
I still think paintball is a silly thing for a church group to do, as they should be WAY to busy feeding homeless people, "doing unto others" etc. Obviously, no religious person here is going to agree and that absolutely does not surprise me in the slightest bit.
QuoteMy friends church lends out paintball guns. i played with his priest once, and he was AMAZING!!!!!! also, noone wanted to shoot him because they thought that if they did they would go to hell laugh.gif .
It honestly frightens me that people who believe they will go to hell for shooting their priest are going to someday raise children.
gamer hasn't added any friends yet.
