You don't need two different guns for speedball and woodsball. Just get one. Unless you have the funds i guess.

I would not recommend the sp-8 AT ALL, especially not for speedball. An sp-8 is $275 new. It is basically an ion with crap put on it. It is big, bulky, heavy, and more difficult to upgrade. If you want to buy a gun for looks (you like MILSIM) then by all means. But a big gun offers NO advantages on any field. You want to present a small target to your opponent and a large long gun with an off set loader is a giant target.

For the same price you can get a used Etek (FYI i have a buddy selling a sick one), a DP g3 (i personally dont really like them), a none 09 proto rail, (the new 09's are 450) the older ones are 150-300. And you can always get an ion for like 100, put a new asa, new barrel, clamping feedneck, and new reg and for the same price as a sp-8 you have a much better gun.

The only thing about the sp-8 is the "look cool" But as for how they are on the field they are worse then all the above i mentioned. I personally would look for a used etek. They are fast, accurate, super reliable, have MUCH better air efficiency, and are so easy to tear down.

If you gave me the choice of stock 98c and stock ion, (stock 98c is like $30 less) i would choice the ion every time. hahaha i lied i would by a used proto rail for the same price.

    hope that helped
