Topics I've Started

  1. Paintball in the Army

    17 December 2011 - 09:08 PM

Since I've been in the Army I've had the chance to experience what the Army considers to be paintball. Every time we get ready for a great day of training I start to get excited, thinking that it's going to be awesome...getting paid to play paintball, but it never fails, it always ends up being a huge disappointment. The rules are never made clear, hardly anyone knows how a paintball gun works(or worse, considers themselves to be an expert), and the tactics attempted fail terribly.... It'd be fun if it was more of a capture the flag type of deal, but it was more to the effect of running battle drills all day long whilst shooting paintballs at eachother. There were no winners or losers, no-one was "tagged-out"... There wasn't even really a point to shooting each other because regardless of how many times people got hit no one stopped shooting. Always ends up being a frustrating mess that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Makes me miss going out and actually playing paintball. I can't really complain though, it's better than not playing paintball at all I guess :)
  2. My new Carver One

    31 December 2010 - 11:08 PM

Well, I got desperate to play paintball so I went down to walmart of all places and got a quick fix. The carver one was cheap and looked sturdy enough but when I got it home I realized it doesn't have a lot of the features that I would like in a marker...so I did what anyone in my situation does...polish a turd. So I did a little tinkering and now it's a tiny bit more comfortable.

Anyway, the stock seems sturdy enough but we'll see how it holds up in game play tomorrow.
  3. Places to play during the week

    23 December 2010 - 10:43 AM

Hey guys, I'm home on leave for two weeks and the most depressing part about Christmas is not being able to play paintball because none of the local fields are open during the week...well, unless I'm a private party and have tons of cash to fork over. Anyone else sharing in the frustration? It's understandable I guess, too few customers to support extended hours. I just miss the good ole days of outlaw fields where we were open 24/7.
  4. Tanks, Remote, 2+1

    16 February 2010 - 09:09 PM

    I have three tanks:

Unknown Brand 62ci 3000psi fiber wrapped tank. It's a large type tank. It's out of hydro by a couple years - $35 shipped

12oz Co2 tank, out of hydro AND 9oz tank with 1 year left on hydro - $15 shipped for both

Redz Field Gear 2+1 belt pouch - $15 shipped.

Unknown Brand Remote Coil, no slide check - $20 shipped.

    Whole package for $50 shipped/paypal'd
  5. WTB stock A-5 w/ stock

    14 February 2010 - 10:15 AM

Like the title says I'm looking for a stock A-5 with a stock. Preferably a collapsible stock but I'll look at others. I have a budget of around $125 dollars.
