20 April 2009 - 01:48 PMI guess it depends on what you like. Perhaps they will make a spool-valve mechanical design that gives you the consistency, ROF, minimum kick, and light weight of electros. Take an Ion for example. The entire board does one thing: open and close a valve through the rotation of the solenoid, which is powered similar to an electric motor. I'm sure they could design some kind of response trigger and a similar design as the Ion so the response trigger opens and closes the valve instead of a solenoid. Thanks, you really got me thinking about something now .
LOL My buddy just ordered a mechanical IOM for certain parts and is going to hook a response trigger into the handle for the purpos of activating the mecanical switch thus in a sense having what you are saying.
I will have him post a link in here once he gets it done so you can see what he has done to it.
This may take some time for it to happen, about two to three months from now depending on how smart his design and remilling and what not takes him.
26 February 2008 - 03:22 PMOk, of what I have found for Tiberius under soft goods I found this thread and another thread ( http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index...amp;hl=Tiberius ) That has not been posted in a while.
So I will stick with this to prevent many issues on the same topic.
Tiberius 8 and Tierius 9 pistol holster.
What I would love to see is a hard shell tactical similar to what the military uses and what some company has for the PT Junior Extream. One that can be for Molle, STRIKE, Alice, Interlock, etc. Or as many as reasonable as possible. Not just a leg drop like SpecOps makes or the Blackcell Clashes Clay back thingy which I don't want.
I would prefer a Horizontal Shoulder hoslter that holds two pistols (one under each arm) where I can put the clips and CO2 on a duty belt or my TacVest.
I know I could spend around 100 bucks for one designed for the 1911 pistol and it may or may not work proplery and over 130 bucks for one to fit the Desert Eagle which is vertical only and not horizontal. At least the ones I could find.
Please SpecOps Help ME!!
or at the very leaste design one to be able to fit on a duty belt style holster that is thick, stiff, and durable. See most waist holsters on the market. They have a slight angle forward to be more to the back flank of the body (not the back at the 6 o'clock position but more like the 4 or 8 o'clock position). One for both left and right handed. Not clip attachments just pure pistol holster.
Just an Ideal, start with that ranger holster, remove all the over flaps, make it a tight fit for the Tiberius, give it a 10 to 15 degree tilt when top of gun is facing forward, have it with at least two belt slips on both the inside and outside of the holster. Remove all clip and CO2 bits so it is pistol only. The reason for belt slips on the inside and outside of the pistol is simple. have the holster between the body and the duty belt to prevent flapping for people like me and in the normal spot for people who want a normal exposed holster. Plus it fits like most waist holster for having the in the belt location or out of the belt location.
Note: molle attachments could be used to allow people to use it on the vest. some vest have side locations to still give the waist are pull. My UTG plate carrier vest has such location. Granted most paintball vest don't but many people use military surplus so they can take advantage of that ablility too.
14 November 2007 - 09:02 AMenvision this, A5, firestorm crank (e-trigger has bad capaciter) in a tunnel locking it down. Not just once, but twice. I even had a sheild to block the tunnel and lay into the enemy. He he he he. I swear the enemy was actually crying.
First time I had about 8 grenades land in the tunnel along with 3 smoke grenades. Second time only one person stuck their head in and refused to go in there to remove me. Hehehe.
30 October 2007 - 09:53 AMHere is an ideal, make a list of those who play with an above level of honor. People who were hit even without break and still leaves the field. People who constantly say, "Hay don't do that" to people who do. People who take the time to shoot at peoples feet/podpack at close range when they could have just shoot them in the body normaly. People who offer surrender before bunkering the fool even when the field does not have the surrender rule. People that have a reputation that far exceeds fair play and rule following.
Granted issues could arise with the wall of shame - therefore the Head Ref or Ultimate Judge should apply this. Even have refs who see someone cheat write the info down and collect the name/team of the player. At the end of the game where all the notes are compared if the person has their name writen down like 3 or 4 times this begins to show the patteren of cheating. Remember, actions speak louder than word. Even ask the person who checks for paint what they did. Check them out to see if they were infact hit.
Limit the time period of appearing on wall of shame to like two to three weeks before removal. That way if they appear 4 out of 5 weekends then maybe they are bad players who are worth banning. Require ID check of the person/parent who signs the waiver. Require a resigning of a waiver when they appear on the wall of shame.
The NPPL, MXL, etc all post members who violate rules after every game. Create the Big Game/Scenario version of it. Document the existance of the rules and even speak to the lawyers of these organizations for how to protect yourself. Remember, field negligance is still a way of sueing a field if Tom X and John W are at the field every week and have a steady reputation for such actions at several field. This is how you can help prevent injury to other players when they visit your fields.
I would exclude the wipping issue; however, running hot is a blatant violation. Not a few FPS over the field but at 315 or 330 fps when it is 280 feild limit. Shooting beyond resonable shots at close range; IE ramping like 10 to 15 shoots on a person at 10 ft from behind/side. Not the spary on a bunker where cowering Joe peeks his head up and take a bunch where it maybe questionable that backshooter at over 120 ft may not see the head but knows someone is back there.
Throwing props into a structure to complete a mission where the prop is a huge plastic barrel and weighs like 10 pounds and there are 2 or 3 people in said structure and barrel tosser did not visualy check the inside due to not wanting to get shoot by someone inside of it. Throwing any prop regardless of size where they should have carefully placed or droped it.
Person shoots a Law at a player, shoots a Rap4 grenade launcher (that shoots 6 paintball) at close range. This is bumb in my opinion. Reckless driving of Tanks/APC. Wall of shame and removeale from field, even criminal charges should be pressed by calling police if truely nessecary.
Granted most of these are Big Game/Scenario rules where the field and promoter could use such wall of shame.
NFL, MBL, NBA, etc all have stats and fines for such actions on the field/court. Get a lawyer and aruge such protections to help encourage safe play. Howerver, do not start such a wall without a lawyer to futher C.Y.A.!
18 September 2007 - 01:53 PMThe total would be $686,473. Thats alot of money for just one 3 days of paintball. So I think they could handle to hire another 50 refs or so.
Well I know for a fact that the port a pots were great. With over 4000 players plus about 2000 other people and ONLY once did I enter a crapper that was not worthy of using and before I was done using the one two down from it the company that cleans them was there cleaning that one.
I anticipated using a bucket in my camping shower and I did not have to use that. That alone made me happy.
Seriously though it is sad that they were spot on with the crapper and crappy with just about every thing else. God knows if the story of taking the blue barrels of water to the river and drawing them up from a possibly bacterial/parasite infected waters is true or not.
However, remember I have plenty of video footage and pics of many Germans who were cheating and getting yanked by refs on Sunday morning. I also have footage of plenty of Allies who were using out of bounds area to fire from. However, the refs that everyone complains about the lack of were there to yank these players form the field in usually a minute or so.
There is plenty of people who start to cheat once THEY feel the other side has been doing it. Lets stop blaming just the lack of refs for just a moment and think. Have I seem my side of players doing this too? If so start yelling at them or hell do what I do when I see my own side start to cheat. Shoot them in the back or side. I would rather play with good players and not cheaters, regardless of who's side they are one.
I even told one guy, "You're the type of players that I hate sharing the field with or even being on the same side with when playing. That kind of action is straight cheating, I bet given the chance you would crank your marker up just to shoot paint 10' further then they can hit you along with shooting another guy in the back at 5' after doing so. THAT is why I have three scars on my back from a guy who never chronos below 320FPS; his exact words." The guy I told this too talked about switching to PSP mode to shoot at a bunch of people from the other team because there was 10 of them and just him. This was also at field was Semi-auto only.
Where if the A-hole had any good skill he chould have shoot most of them, retreated a bit to get better ground and shoot some more of them. Even if he got shoot, he would be remembered if he had skill. Now these players he shoot at are PERTURBED because PSP mode is way different than semi-auto. WAY diffrent. I am certain they went and cranked thier markers up a bit and switched modes too just to get even with a cheating other side.
