    First:
    You should certainly take your SP8 to your local paintball field/store or air smith to have it worked on. You don't want anyone getting hurt because of something you/ your friend overlooked when tinkering with it.

    Second: I don't really see how a modified binocular (or monocular) would work as a scope for your marker. You wouldn't be able adjust for distance windage etc. (even though a paintball could never be fired with enough accuracy to warrant scope adjustment anyways). Ditch the 5 round mag idea too it will really hamper your fun I think.

    If you are looking for a challenge or something try playing pump. You can probably get one for a better price than modding and painting your gun.

    Have fun with which ever direction you go.
