    They aren't "moving on"

Speaking about Windows 7 on 16 October 2008, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer confirmed compatibility between Vista and Windows 7. Ballmer also confirmed the relationship between Vista and Windows 7, indicating that Windows 7 will be an improved version of Vista.

I was replying to DVLCHLD hearing a rumor that Microsoft was "abandoning Vista", which they kind of are. Although Windows 7 is a form of Vista, this still shows how deep the negative PR impacted the OS. I don't think there is anything wrong with Vista, but people continue to talk negatively about it. This OS is probably just like Vista with a few different features just so people won't be turned off by the word "Vista" on the packaging.

Whoa, well this thread got interesting... Basically Windows Customer Service had me re-install Vista, and everything is perfect. I did a little research and I suppose you could say Windows is moving on from Vista, with Windows Se7en. It's not coming out for a few years, but they are working on a new OS, but I'm sure Apple is too.
Thanks for the help, for the people who gave it... and thanks for making the thread interesting for those who did that.

Greetings. Name is Rick. My son and I are looking to create a Brigade in the York area (Revolution Paintball) and found your info. If interested, PM me. Because of your age, I would need to approve this with your parents.
