Posts I've Made
25 December 2009 - 11:53 PMYes we are sponsored by Eclipse and yes they do want us to promote their equipment. I guess all I can really say is we went after Eclipse to sponsore us AFTER we decided that they were the best guns out on the market for us. From there on promoting just got easier.
You can beleave me or not but I will always tell everyone the same thing. Shoot everything and decide for yourself what feels and works best for you.
For me the following things are important.
I want a gun that will work for me EVERY time I pull it out of the bag
I want a gun that will work in any conditions
I want a gun that gives me the best efficiency possible to keep me on the field as long as possible.
I want it to feel nice in my hand
I want it to look as cool as possible
The EGO has always given me the best with all that in mind
I shoot an ETEK2 and to be honest it definitely fulfils all of the above for me. I've tried tons of markers but in the end settled with the PE line. I almost settled with a droid or cyborg from Macdev but the ego's just felt better for me. so yeah Dan I'm with you on this one.
17 November 2009 - 09:07 PMWhat kind of experience? Experience in reading reviews of what other people say? lol Im not the one making stuff up? I think you need to learn to read my friend.
If you know how to push the circuit board out FROM THE BOTTOM of an ION you will never have problem with the hoses. They may be short, but as long as your not ripping the thing apart, you WONT break it. Like I said, Ive had an Ion for 3 years, Ive never had a problem with a hose, wire, or any thing mechanical. The worst that has EVER happened is --- I had to replace the battery --- Oh no! :aah: ---
As for the mini, the first few had lots of problems... I bet the new ones are nice. But the Ion has been in production a LOT longer. Your chances of buying an Ion with problems is smaller than buying a mini with problems - respectively.
I love how teenagers get a hold of computers and try to flame everyone they can before their moms kick them off to go to bed
If your going to base marker preference on production age. Nelspot 007 FTW
according to Pbreview, mini has a higher rating. 9.2 to 8.9.
It's all up to individual preference and feel. To me the most important thing is how the marker feels when I have it shouldered. If it feels good shooting, it doesnt matter to me how hard the maintenance is, I am going to like that marker better. Whats the point of having an easy to maintain marker if you hate the way it feels/shoots.
On my team we have both mini's and Ion's. I personally like the mini more. very simple design, I dig the size of it.
However if I were you, I would either save up the pennies for a Macdev or Etek2. In my experience (previous ion owner) with the amount of upgrades I put on the Ion, I should have just settled with a Etek2 or any of the Macdev markers....
