I used Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Enamel. It holds up well. The paint is really flat, there was alot of paint "dust' that kept coming off. After it dried I just rubbed it with some thick paper towels until all of the "dusty" paint came off. The paint of the pump handle is rubbing off a little but that does not really matter. There were a couple flakes but I sealed them up with super glue.
11 June 2009 - 03:46 PMThe 'snake skin' pattern is really easy. I just painted the whole marker brown then put a net over it and painted more tan & brown. I painted the elbow and added more net and paint to the hopper. It looks "busy" but thats what the local area looks like, plain stripes would not work very well. I tried that on another marker. I happy with how it turned out. smiley_abused.gif (124bytes)

10 June 2009 - 08:15 PMI only care about it being light & hard to see.
05 June 2009 - 11:23 PMThe spotted pattern works well in the dead grass & brush I play around this time of year. It looks alot lighter in the pics with the flash then in sunlight. The really light tan is a great match for the grass around here. I did the 'snake skin' paint job over it yesterday to darken it a little.
05 June 2009 - 06:23 PMI ordered a set of detent rings with the gun. What size paint would be good for .691 or .688? I have alot of Diablo Heat paint now and would like to be able to use that up.
I also ordered a 9oz. Co2 tank b/c I thought my 48ci steel tank would make the gun too back heavy. Any probelms with Co2 in the phantom?
