03 February 2010 - 10:51 AMHey Tony, The Spartans are looking for teams to practice with at our home field. We practice every Sunday and our home field is Starrion Paintball in Shelbyville TN. Look us up sometime and come on out.
24 December 2009 - 10:01 PMWell this school is a joint venture. My friend opened up Starrion Paintball Club in November and wanted me to continue some tactical training I was doing before with C.A.G. I wanted the school to be open to new players and also more experienced players who want to go to the next level. My experience consist of playing since 2001. A serious Scenario player since 2003. A member of The Pukin Dogs Paintball team, and The Spartans Mil Sim/ Scenario Team. I've made props, flyers, written games , built tanks , and General'd for scenario games. I've played over 40 24hourgmes. I've also spent the last 2 years under my bud's wing , a enlisted soldier from the 5th Special Forces group. learning from him and refining what constitutes a scenario team , from start to finish. Since meeting him, we have trained players, done joint team ops in scenario games, and have delved into what is truly Mil-Sim.
Here is the break down of the school. Because the school part of the Spatarns team ethic, the structure is set up after the Agoge, the rigorous training regime for the Spartans of ancient Greece.
Beginner (paides)- will learn how to shoot, move, marker awareness, and basics skills
Intermediates (paideskoy)- will learn how to start using tactics, strategy, work as a team
Advanced (hebontes)- will learn how to lead, develop a team from scratch, and take on the highest roles in paintball today.
Joining the school cost $50
$50 gets you two visits to the field and the school
You get a player registration card that tracks your progress in the school
You get a Student guild
You get a mask loop that shows your status in the school.
You get a laminated field card that shows how many visits you have paid for.
Each month offers two classes for you to attend. If the student wants to attend the school more than twice a month, they may do so.
Each set of two classes cost $50. In the future there may be special classes with special guests or events.
