06 March 2013 - 05:57 PMBeen seeing these pop up on Facebook today. Finally checked it out while I've been sitting here watching Rand Paul filibuster the Senate like a boss.
Basically, click and drag your kit onto the grid. You can stack some things (as seen with my food/ammo). Fun just to play with.
30 October 2012 - 08:28 PMSo, since tomorrow is that one glorious day where all the college girls in town dress in as little as possible and say they're a Witch or a Cop or a Swan or something, I thought I'd see what the SO crowd is doing to celebrate.
I work in a Sushi bar, with a bunch of Koreans... so we're all dressing up as Psy (the dude that does the Gangnam Style song). Our manager is actually from Gangnam too.
I've had that jacket for a while. Same with the tux shirt, bowtie, and glasses. I just put a duct tape border on the jacket to "Tux" it up a bit.
26 September 2011 - 11:49 PMJust curious to see if anyone from the forums will be at Fulda Gap.
For those that don't know, Fulda Gap is one of the biggest games of the year, and I believe the biggest in the Southeast US. CDWC is expecting 1,000 players this year (last years game saw 950ish players).

09 June 2011 - 12:43 AMSo after the failure of the 2011 Sly Pro-Merc pads (Thread Here), I began looking for other pads.
My 2007 Empire Grind pads, even being 4 years old at this point, are still holding strong. The only issue is they tend to slide down when I slide because 1: They are stretched out and 2: They utilize a very small velcro closure.
Then I see ANS Gear is having a sale for Memorial Day! So I check it out, casually browsing, and find the 2009 Empire Grind pads. At their discounted cost ($27.95), I thought to myself, "Self, I should get these. Worst case, they last me a little longer than the Sly pads. Best case, they last me 4 more years like my last Grind pads." So I bought them.
They come in a nice bag. That's cool. I guess if you don't have a big gear bag or something then you can carry them in it. Or use it for other stuff. So that's cool. I go to put them on and SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS they're tighter than... nevermind. They're just really tight. Like, cut the circulation off from my foot tight. So hopefully they stretch a bit. They're also big. I feel like I'm wearing Cricket pads (Yes, I know how those feel). They fit under my jeans (I wore them to Taco Bell to break them in), so they aren't massive, but the knee pad is a little large. The big plus for them is that they are one, solid pad. Not like the Sly pads I tore to hell that were made of multiple small pads. So I feel like they will be able to hold up to some abuse, especially with the past performance of their older version. They use a longer/larger velcro strap, so combined with their tightness I feel like they'll stay on when I slide (I slid around in the living room a bit, and they stayed on so that's good).
I'll update when I get to use them. And maybe take pictures and stuff.
18 April 2011 - 04:50 PMSo a friend of mine is looking to get a marker. She's got $500 or so to play with. Problem is, I haven't used any of these markers, so I got no input for her.
She currently uses my ICD Promaster, and I want to get her something that's a step up from that.
My thoughts are...
Axe - Proven platform. Pro teams are shooting it, so it's gotta be alright.
FX - I have a Fusion7, how similar are they? It's closest to what she currently uses. Only thing is, I've heard DP customer service has taken a dive.
Reflex Rail - Just came out, so I know the least about this. I know the old Rails were alright markers, but that's about it.
And yes, she wants a tournament style marker. She likes my Promaster, and absolutely LOVES my Marq6.
