08 December 2007 - 05:42 AMThis reminds me of an idea I had a little over a year ago after a particularly bad day with cheaters at the local indoor.
My solution to on-field cheating is a three-strikes system. Every player who signs up to play for the day gets a card, each card has three boxes on it. Each time a player is busted breaking any rule, he gets a strike. Three strikes and he's done for the day, no refund. The full cheater card then gets tacked up on the wall, three full cards in one season and the player is banned for the duration. The cards are reset to zero at the start of every new season (or if it's an indoor, the beginning of each year) giving previous offenders a chance to mend their behavior.
After a while it'll become pretty apparent who the chronic cheaters are that need to be watched. The system might not be perfect, but at least it's a concrete policy that can be applied consistantly.
25 October 2007 - 05:01 AMSome people make that mistake with me... until I turn around and they see that I've got a three or four foot long ponytail in back.
Definately not army issue.
So it normally never comes up. If it did, I'd say "No, I prefer the stuff getting shot at me to be harmless paint instead of lead thank you."
21 October 2007 - 04:34 AMWell, isn't that really every paintball story boiled down into one post?
Not really. I've got one that goes like this.
So we run into the thick stuff off the break right, and this dude on the other side is shooting a buddy of mine off to my left, just hosing his tree. Well, I had the misfortune to be on a line with the shooter, his target, and myself, and thus took a random unaimed paintball to the grill. But it tasted like raspberries, so it was cool.
21 October 2007 - 04:31 AMI hope that trigger frame is compatible with my ion, always did hate the double trigger.
05 October 2007 - 05:57 PMI match my paint, dial in my sight, and go. Stock ion barrel works perfectly with evil premium. 3 shot eliminations on a half-mask sized target are not uncommon for me at 125-150 feet.
Oh, and I've been shooting the same gun with the same barrel at the same velocity for two years. Now its just easy. Too easy, so I got a PGP to make it harder 8-P.
