Paintball Swap Meet
Bring your unwanted paintball gear to buy/sell/trade (and your own table to display items on)
This friendly competition and Swap Meet will start at Noon and will be held at Jungle Cat Paintball Field http://www.junglecatpaintball.com
Brat Fry is planned and more details are on the way!
We are looking at a multi flag game, with respawn every 15 min. The flags will be scored at the same time. We will have 45 min time periods with a break in between time periods to reload, snack, and talk smack. We will be using life badges. For those that haven't used our life badge system this is how it works. You will be issued a serialized life badge [sticker] you put on your chest. When you get shot you pull your life badge off, crumple it up [so no one can use it again] and throw it on the ground. so the guy who shot you can see. You then go to the respawn point and get a new one and wait for the respawn signal to re enter. This makes it easy to ref, makes sure guys are respawning correctly, and keeps track of eliminations.

According to John from JC here is what we are looking at for the days game
We are looking at a multi flag game. The flags will be scored every 15 min. We will have 45 min time periods with a break in between time periods to reload, snack, and talk smack. (If you want we can do 4 time periods)
You then go to the respawn point and get a new one. This makes it easy to ref, makes sure guys are respawning correctly, and keeps track of eliminations. Your hard work is not in vein.
The first 20 BBs that say [on the thread in the BB forum] we're in get carry on and field fees free.
Your airs costs too much to give away, so bring yours filled or buy a fill from us. HPA $3 for 3000 or $4.50 for 4500 Co2 $3 up to 12oz- $4 for larger
Depending on the show we will use 3 or 5 flag stations with holders and a flag for each team. When you take control of the flag station you pull the other teams flag out and put your’s in.
Originally I was using a format for larger games of “very 15 min a horn will blare. This signals a re- insertion and at the same time the refs will record who’s flag is in the flag holders at the flag stations.”
With the under 40 players probable we will alter it to constant re-insertion [you can re-insert when you get a new life badge]. We will still count eliminations.
The horn will blare every 15 min. for recording the flag stations. This will make for a better game with the intimate group out there, plus add a greater dimension for planning.
We will add missions to keep things interesting [free life badge air drops, etc.]
Each time a flag is recorded it will be worth 29 points.
Each elimination is worth 3 points.
We will be opening the doors at 11 so players can get their guns chronied and air if needed, Paper work and so on. Minors remember to have your parents fill out the Youth Waiver form off our site before you come.
Out of towners if you want to camp on site the night before it’s cool [call me]. Just keep in mind the JC bus will be pulling in at 3am.
The safety orientation for the game will begin at 12:30. At this time you should have you marker chronied and tagged by the chrony ref, and have your gear on and ready to go. Directly after orientation the teams will take the field.
All players will be going through the orientation when we get time, so do your best to be there on time, if you show late you will have to wait for the next orientation [30-50 minute later?]
The game will start with both teams doing a escort mission to their spawn point, so being ready will at the bell is important.
We will be chroning markers throughout the day and assessing penalties for hot guns. If your guns shoots hot it will be recorded, posted, and cost your team.
Players that break the rules- playing on, wiping, playing without a life badge unsportsmanlike behavior etc. will all be recorded, posted, and their team penalized.
Elimination is defined as any hit or splatter from a paintball and subsequent break resulting in a marking on the player or their active equipment that is equal or greater than the size of a dime.
Grenades: A player is considered eliminated if three specks of paint from a grenade or more is found on his person or equipment.
Players leaving the respawn point enter the field “hot,” except for a safe period of ten (10) seconds, during which time the players leaving may maneuver within 75 feet with out being fired upon
Any time a player calls “hit”, “out”, or waves their hand or paintball gun above their head the player is eliminated, regardless of an actual paintball break. When calling a bounce, the player must be careful not to indicate a hit.
Any time a player puts their barrel-blocking device onto their barrel or raises his paintball gun over his head (other then to maneuver out of a bunker or obstacle) with the barrel pointing up, that player is eliminated regardless of an actual paintball break.
No barrel tagging.
Players may wear a variety of clothes and gear with the exception of any gear that the field official determines is overly padded for the purpose of causing a paintball to bounce. Generally we allow 2 layers – but not quilting.
Ghillie Suits: Any player wearing a full or partial ghillie suite (including ghillie that is attached to load bearing equipment) made of burlap or radar-disbursing vinyl mesh is required to call any direct hit as an elimination regardless of whether the paintball broke or not.
Illegal Talking: “Illegal Talking” shall be defined as any time a player speaks, motions, radios or otherwise communicates with his team members after that player is eliminated. Players may identify themselves over their radio as being eliminated (i.e., “Player ‘John Doe’ Out”) within no more than five seconds after the elimination. Any communication after five seconds after a player is eliminated is deemed “Illegal Talking” and subject to penalty.
Any time any a paint check is called, all play must stop within a 30-yard radius of the person who is being checked. No player may fire or move during the course of a Paint Check. Players may clean guns, replace paint, communicate or do any activity that does not require that they discharge their paintball gun or change position. Any person hit by a paintball during a paint check must call a Paint Check on himself and have the referee verify that the “hit” is invalid.
