Ok. Most people think of sports as involving a ball. Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer ect.. However I believe paint ball itself is also a sport. Tho proly not a drawn out as most of the others. Im sure most here would have (or would) play in a school league if they existed. But that isnt the question..

Question is, knowing what you know about paint-ball, Do you think it would be viable for schools to start having their own paint-ball teams, playing in tournaments and such like they do for their other sports (while keeping different modes open, aka, not only playing speed ball) ??

[edit] Crap.. i did NOT mean to post it in the Mask area.. Could someone move it to the general please?

It's possible, but extremely unlikely that it would ever happen. Paintball has a bad rep...

No school with ever allow a paintball as a sport, too much can happen. Also I've learned that most schools have sports that make them money & I really don't see paintball a money maker for a school.

As much as I want that to happen odds are against us, like A-5 warrior said paintball has a bad rep, although one of my teachers said something about my principle liking paintball. so maybe theres hope of getting together like a club or something.

School team? Probably not. Mostly due to insurance issues and safety/vandalism concerens.

School paintball Club? That should be no problem. http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index...=paintball+club

Were starting one at my school, they will let us play reball in the gym. We will set up tournaments where other schools (only private, insurance reasons) come to a field (real field) and they will let us play agaienst each other.

yeah me and my friends were gonna try to start a paintball club at my school and then see if it could evolve into a team but we never did because i doubt they would let us. they would say paintball "guns" are too violent. heck this is one of the safest sports out there.

Doesn't mean you can't go underground for the first year. Challenge other schools at local fields and ante in $5.00 a person for a trophy. Schools like to show off trophies. Maybe it'll be acceptable the next year.

Or rent a field for a day and organize your own rally. Teams can pay up a month in advance.

well, the high school i went to had an "outdoor adventure club", and they went skiing and stuff. You would be able to have a paintball club as long as people followed the rules.
