oh wow... look at that list.... i have heard it said "the league is in trouble..." but how can that be when finals are fielding a group like that??? the SPPL is attracting the best players from around the country and having them all play honorably, and having them remember that deep down, this sport that we all love, is for fun. i play a lot of paintball, and one of the most rewarding expeiriences for me is teaching players that havent got the same level of expeirience as me. i'd like to teach anyone that wants to learn all the "secrets to great play" that i know in the hopes that they will absorb them, expand on them, then teach me something new or mow my butt off the feild and force me to get better.

that all may seem kinda off topic, but with the sportsman ship and level of ability that is going to be at the NCT everyone should be able to learn something. heck, playing in california is what really drove it home to me, every event is one of the best learning expeiriences a team will have probably all year. i practice every weekend (basically :dodgy: ) but i do it at the same field against the same people. i cant help but wonder what teams like GLR and California Gridlock could learn from playing each other (names chosen because of location only) thats two great teams from opposite sides of the country! how often do you get the chance to play against a team that is based THOUSANDS of miles away? what secrets on the east coast are we missin out west??? and what surprises will us west coast ballers have for you come Oklahoma??? i'm so excited for this event and what it means to OUR league and OUR sport.

good luck all, from the names i see on that list, everyone is gonna need it :usa:

Ok. Our plane tickets are booked and we are staying in Joplin. It is a drive, but hey... at least it is civilization. Darryl Trent, coach of Dynasty and Smart Corps teammate, would like to host a clinic on Friday morning. If we have enough people interested (and someone to pick him up at the airport on thursday), then I will move his flight to thursday and he can do a clinic. He coached The Philly Americans to wins in the NXL for a few years, left for a year, and he has been coaching Dynasty all year. He also played pro for the Ironmen back in the day for many years until he ended his playing career with the All Americans in the late 90's. He is lethal in the woods and one of our best woods players. He probably has forgotten more knowlegdge than I have learned in my 13 years of playing. So, let me know what you all think!

Sean,

Call me in the next few days about Thursday's possible flight times for Darryl. (in the afternoon's my time prefferably as I'm working nights through Thursday night this week.) We have several Gridlock players coming in on Thursday all day, good chance one of us could give Darryl a ride. We're staying in Neosho.

By the way guys, the clinic would be FREE!

Thanks little leperchaun. I will keep that in mind. I am still waiting to see if the players would like a free clinic on friday. It would be more like 10am for start time. Let me know guys.

Same with the rest of us. That is why Darryl cannot do it later so we can all walk fields..
