Ok take your worst day times it by 10 and you have a PSP or NPPl events. SPPL is the one that changes everything. The players listen you call them out they leave they talk to you after and offer to feed and get water for you. They are also exciting and fun to watch. They seem to make it fun to be out there with them.

I dunno....I've had some bad days...

I bet PSP and NPPL refs dont have to wash 200+ Rental Masks which are absolutely covered in paint while its raining! Two hours...two whole hours...

You are corect we don't have to wash masks. but dealing with kids with super egos ( not the marker) makes up for it. They get in your face and tell you that what you saw was not right, they are too good to be shot in the backside by some one who they think is a crappy player. I still like doing it. If you get a chance to ref the SPPL do it. The players there give refs hope that there are good players out there.

I wish I could ref SPPL. Unfortunately, unless it comes to the UK sometime soon, I'll be unable to do so. Sometimes, being British sucks...

I wouldn't mind reffing a few official games, depends on how many people our team gets and if we get past the qualifiers too I'm sure. I kind feel weird getting ready to step abck into playing on a team after so long as a ref and now so much as a walk-on.

Atleast I'm big enough that if they don't hear my "command voice" they at least pay attention to my body language and do what I say. I try not to be too intimidating for a little guy.
