I sent in my e-grip (it was the old on without the newer boards) to be fixed because the firing mode selector broke. It was awesome Tippmann got it back to me in about 1 week. (very quick) When I got it out of the package I noticed they replaced the whole board instead of just fixing the selector. They put in the W.A.S. board for free!! Then I went to go test out the new board. I had it on ramping mode with 15 bps. It shot exellent. The ramping mode was awesome. The W.A.S. board is so simple to turn on/off and change the settings. It has an LED.

I hope this just happened as tippmann supposely fixed the WAS board problem. However I prefer the previous board hands down.

The fireing modes are semi auto, 3 shot ramping, 3 shot fullauto, auto responce, and turbo. I don't know about the battery I haven't changed it yet on the new W.A.S. board. Well you need the screw driver, but instead of turning the fire mode selector you do combinations of messing with the trigger and pushing a button with the screw driver. (much easier)

The W.A.S. board is a piece of crap. At least the one I have is. It won't shoot on 3-shot burst, turbo, or responce. The full auto usually breaks balls, even when I have it set to 8 or 10 balls per second. The only thing that works good is the semi-auto mode. I've changed the batteries, and it still does the same thing. I brought it in to two different paintball dealerships and they told me that they had no idea what was wrong and that I should just buy a new one. So, I'm not a real big fan of the W.A.S. board.

Mine doesn't do that at all! Try buying a new one. The board you have is probably just a bad egg, lol.

I have a WAS Board and have had it for a year very nice, very fast, never had any problems with the board itself, only thing is it's not field legal for my field.

I have heard it is very hard to program. I am decidung between this and the APE one. But the APE full auto doesnt go below 15 bps which is way to high. Great review.

Cool I will have to look into it now. I saw the programming video on fear paintball butit still looked complicated, but all of them are probably. Great review and thanks!

Thats not the boards fault.
And the batteries wouldn't be at fault.

Its either you have a thick head and cant oporate things, or you got a
defect one.
All you had to do was send it to Tippmann and get a new one in return.

Its really not that complicated once you try it out once or twice.
I also thought it was going to be hard to do, but once I got it
the first time it was a breeze.

I have a WAS E-Grip and it won't turn off. I follow the directions to the letter and the LED just does a dull rapid flash. I have to remove the grip and disconnect the battery at the end of the day. Other than that it works awesome and I like it. The programing is pretty simple too.

One other issue is sometimes when I'm set up on an lengthy ambush, the E-Grip goes into a "stand-by" mode where it won't fire. I guess it does this during long periods of non-use (10-15+ minuets).

How do u change the rate of fire and get into the trigger programming mode?
