One thing though, to all of you that want to break it down for a pistol. The base on the T9 is larger than the Tib8, so it won't fit in standard holsters AFAIK

Are you sure? I compared two pictures, and the T9 base didn't seem to be too much larger. Slightly longer barrel, and the weaver rails. But other than that, nothing seems to radically different. I guess I'll have to see when I get mine. At least they're all affordable (T9 $300, T9 pro $350, T9 covert $400 T9 covert elite $480). Other than the covert elite that is...

The tac rails may interfere with it fitting into the holster, otherwise it's great. One of our team mates ordered one last week, I can't wait to see it. :D

I thought Tib said that the addons are T9 specific, so no adding it to a Tac8. And the size thing came from what someone was told at MilsimOG

The T8 and the t9 are not interchangeable Tyberius had to mdofiy the top half, rotate a few parts to make it work, by the time you spend the money on the parts to make a t8 into a t9 compatable you could have bought t9. :ghillie:

Its an interesting gun. Nice to have te option to use the pistol type clip... but you would ralrey use them. Too few shots with the 12 gram, and too few shots in the clip. To be honest, when I saw the side view pics on the red background I thought the gun looked pretty ugly. Great milling tho, just an ugly gripframe/trigger and very boxy setup.

You'd just end up using the tank via remote and a hopper... and at that point wouldnt you just rather be using an X7?! The X7 is lower profile with the hopper attached and is a thousand times more customizable. Its a nice fantasy to picture youself only needed a dozen or so shots at a time but paintball reality is far from that.

Now, if you didnt mind having to reload every dozen shots and reload 12 grams after every few clips then the Tac 9 is fine... it would drive anyone crazy during an actual game of paintball tho.... even while sniping. Hell, I go thru 2 Q pods during a 25 minute round... and thats over 10 reloads of those little clips. No way man.

I once saw a guy doing a field reload of a Tiberius Arms pistol during a scenario game and it looked so painfull that I vowed never to limit my ammo to under 50 shots at a time. Great SIDEARMS but using 12 grams and clips for your primary is not a good idea.

It can run remote and can be quickly converted into hopper-fed if you don't want to use the magazines. Its not solely 12gram 8 shot dependent.

You know, I was just wondering whether that mock silencer would mount on the pistol's threads. Guess my question is answered, thanks. If the T9 pistol doesn't fit into TAC8 holsters, hopefully TA will make one for it. Although the opsgear universal drop leg holster for pistols would probably hold a tac9 pistol....

I have 3 questions about the Tac-9.
1. If you use the constant air can you use the clips still?
2. Where does the remote attach?
3. When is the 20 round mag coming out? ( mentioned in a earlier post )
Other than those questions the Tac-9 looks to be about the coolest paintball gun out there. I want one but just finished upgrading my A-5. Also they should produce a few mods to make it look like a H&K MP7 MP7 pics
