Like those starbursts commercials. " If they're no longer your friends, you don't have to share your starbursts with them. " * kid whacks cup out of friends hand*

nice shocker.

Ha ha, a paradox.

 I had to play along. I'll believe it when I see it though

I'd say go with the shocker for now, you can turn around and sell it for more later if you choose to.

This seems like solid reasoning to me.

I wouldn't be able to buy a good deal off my friend then turn around and make a profit off of it, I would feel like a total jerk

I hear ya. I would play with it for a while, few months. Then sell it in the spring (either back to him for the same amount), to fund the Phantom Purchase.

I personnaly think you would get much more use using a shocker than a phantom. Yeah its nice but the shocker will be best for the type of paintball you are playing. Speed, small, reliable (if maintained), and just had a recent price drop on action village.

I guarantee you a phantom is more reliable than a shocker.

And yes, a shocker is better for not pump class than a phantom is, but if he wants to play pump class, than the phantom is a better choice than the shocker

IMHO the phantom is better all around than the shocker.

More reliable, more consistant, more accurate ( with stock barrel) And backed by a MUCH better company.

Personally, I would go Shocker. You're not selling your HPA and hopper are you?

If you continue playing speedball, you might just want to get the Shocker. Assuming you have never played pump (or complete SC) you will have a hard time going straight into speedball with a Phantom. However, if you can play woodsball somewhere, I would highly suggest buying the Phantom. Once you get used to it, you can get back into speedball and still do very well.

Accuracy is based on the paint, not the barrel. A .689 All American barrel (Shocker stock barrel) will shoot smaller paint better than a .691 stock Phantom barrel.

Paint-barrel match has such a negligable effect on accuracy. I can shoot just fine with my PGP, Phantom, and any other *decent* barrel

Shocker hands down. Great price. And comes with upgrade. And more use.

Even though I am getting a Phantom in the spring, I am going to recommend the Shocker, because it's really cheap, and because you are playing on a speedball team where you will NEED to suppress, something that cannot be done with a Phantom.
