I wear your basic, standard issue all leather combat boots. With the Dr. Scholl's gel insoles (how wonderful they are). I can run a full sprint with those on for 3/8 of a mile and my feet like be fine. I can walk 28 miles in them and my feet will be fine. They are well broken and since they fit the traction of my step, incredibly quiet.

So you say these Inov8 MudRoc 280 are all they're cracked up to be?

Yeah .. The MudRoc 280 is the actual racing Version of the "MudRoc" Line they have. the standard version of this shoe is the MudRoc 290. It has a higher ankle. I think my problem when wearing my boots was that I was relying on the boot to support my ankle ENTIRELY, thus my foot wasn't ready for that uneven surface and therefore would just roll. But with the lower height of a running shoe, it forces my ankle to stabilize itself and not rely on an external support (the boot high top) for support. Because of that I wanted the lightest shoe possible as well as the lowest rising. The 290 would probably be adequate but I chose the 280 because the rise is lower the weight is less and they both are the same price!! =D

I wear official issue Altama Jungle boots all the time, paintball and casual wear. I like the military look and I think they're very comfortable, but if you get them be sure to try them on and walk around first. You may need to get half a size larger than normal or they might pinch at the bend. :)

I've changed my footware to some nice boots. High up on the ankle and black for good support and such. Waterproof so I can go trecking through mud and whatever else. I can't play in shoes, too many rolled ankles for me to do that ever again.

If your going to play year-long in rough terrain try buying some real tactical boots. Check out out a page like www.lapolicegear.com and get yourself a nice pair of goretex boots. Currently I am playing with some 9'' 5.11's that are lighter than any other boot you can find!

i got old vietnam style combat boots. I got them for 20 dollars at an army surplus store. They are flexible enough to allow me to tuck in close but sturdy enough to give good support. Although i would recommend an insole to cusion ur feet.

I wear addidas attack lows...they are a molded football cleat. I don't know if they help that much, but when you need to make a 90 degree cut at full speed they sure come in handy.
