Is that guy giving birth? :)

Anyway, looks like an AG would work really well. There appears to be a lot of brush and shurbbery there, that can work to your advantage. In fact, I think an AG would be the best choice for that field.

Thanks for the pics Pyro!

I'm looking at picking up a feather-weight ghillie like the AG but had some questions. (I've used jute ghillies... too hot and heavy for summer use around here)

I have an NXe vest with air and pods on the rear and pockets on the front. My concerns would be:
  • if wearing the vest on top of the ghillie, the ghillie would be useless as it would just be squished underneath the tactical vest
  • if wearing the ghillie jacket on top of the vest, making the vest inaccessible or just not being able to fit the ghillie jacket over-top
Could you use the AG jacket under or over a vest or would you suggest buying AG density kit material and just "ghillie-ing" a vest?

Pants are a no brainer - shouldn't get in the way of anything.

Chris

Thanks but I was thinking more like: I already have a vest but I cant see what to do with it until I get the Action Ghillie. Also I dont want to buy a new vest for $148.95 or at least around that. :(

Buy some mesh material and sew it to our vest. Try to get some like Gamer has.

I'll let you know how it goes but I'm about to go visit dollar-stores and craft-shops. I've seen a lot of "fake leaves" ostensibly for arts and crafts but they'd make excellent ghillie camo, especially for covering pockets and such. (they're sort of like Sneaky-Leaf camo)

Those plastic leaves are actually quite nice. Id suggest getting a very drab colored ivy type leaf. Make sure it is not shiny, and not a shade of green that is equal shades of blue and yellow. A more olive tone is best.

I must confess, after going Action Ghillie I will never use another ghillie again. It is light as a feather, cool, and blends in perfectly. I own it and love it, and have used other types of ghillie. That is a more informed opinion than 99 percent of people on these boards, so trust me when I say the stuff rocks.
