your an idiot

I know 2 people who own them, one has owned it 1 year the other about a lil over 6 months and have had NO problems

You can have problems if you dont tighten all bolts and stuff on them. I have had the same problem he has said but that is because of my own error.

Oh, get a PUMP
Get him something like a pgp or a used phantom. not many people use them as much as tippmanns and spyders, and its a great way to get better.

You gotta really love paintball to use a pump though.

He might get bored.

Actually, pump players get sometimes even more adrennalien rush and excitement from playing a good pump game. Also, it will help him learn to snapshoot and aim and handle the marker than what he might with a semi-auto

dood.. just kick him in the head and tell him to get over the fact that he wont get anything original for 200$.. most people put more money than that into customizing there hoppers.. or triggers..or on hookers.. if he wants an electric a pilot would be the best.. if he doesnt want electric tell him to get a tippmann..if he wants an electric mil-sim gun.. go for the mr-2... those are pretty much his only options

Flank Man you have a rather narrowed point of view now don't you?

Just put him on a website that has a large variety of markers and let him find a few that he likes.

yep im an idiot syab they r great guns really they are but if ur a noob u arent gonna religiously clean a gun and always check it over. anyways its just my opionion and it doesnt matter tto much cuz when it comes down to it, its their decision and none of our opionions matter they just influence the choice they make. i have heard better reviews on mr1s and tippys than pilots. it is one of the best low end evers but anyways he doesnt want an electronic.
