I ave a Jt recon that i have used twice one time that it worked for more than 5 min. The second time (today) it was working fine till in the middle of a game it started shooting air and no paint well come to find out the peice of crap is broken. The part that pushes the paint out wont retract and needs to be fixed. And the JT customer service won't answer any of my calls about another problem. THe cocking bolt on the stock (sold seperatley) wasn't installed right by my uncle and it fell out so now to cock it i have to take the stock off and pull the pin inside the gun whick really isn't to bad just the customer service is like the quality of Monster Paint. SO the Field operater tries to fix it and he gives me a 98 Custom Pro I pick the thing up and the balance was pretty good considering my remote was on my JT still. We go over to the woodsball field and right of the bat i am runnig with this thing and i get on the right with two other guys they are both elimanated trying to advance i sneek around find a guy in the sigts maybe 60 feet away and get him in the sights one pull and he is out. I was amazed the thing was so much quieter than my JT he didn't see me i then move up ten feet and i see anothe rguy across the field this one maybe 90 and i get him in the sights and then pop pop he's out. This whole time i have dove around with the gun got dirt in the barrel. I fell with my JT and i have to go and work on it because it stops shooting. I probally had 4 kills with my JT for playing with it for 4 hours and i got about ten kills with the Tippman in 3 hours. So finnaly my question is do i just ditch the JT i am really unhappy with this gun and the customer service. Forget the Ion i think i might get a BT-4 or a MR1

1. Stick with the Gun and repair get a new barrel two
2. Fix and sell on Ebay for money for a new gun
3.Don't even fix and get a new gun

How much is an Anti-Syphon for a CO2?
Thanks for everyones help

Fix and sell. Look at Tippmann and Smart Parts markers.

Skip the Tippmann and buy a Ben Tippmann BT-4. They're pretty reasonable and they're basically a 98c with the benefits of common sense and some tactical stuff added.

here i am thinking about getting this or should i get something without the Tactical stuff i like the Milslim but that isn't as important as the effectivness of the stock. On my JT (when it works) the stock was very nice to have on their i have a remote too so this is easy to use

It's a good deal since they have the 98c w/ACT alone for $140, getting the red dot sight & sling for free is always nice. Use that extra money you saved & get a cyclone feeder IMO

I would stay away from the new 98c's if I were you. Check around the tippmann fourm, many people are having trouble with their new 98's due to the sear being made out of soft metal.

Get a BT-4 Combat. Stick a 14" J&J Ceramic on it and you're on your way. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

Boy JT-KID75, you must have a lot of money.

For the price of an stock A5 you can get a BT-4 Assault with a M4/M16 14" barrel (Not stock on the A5), moveable fore grip, metal rear site/handle (Not stock on the A5), and a 3 position Tactical stock. (Not on the A5) The price of the BT-4 Assault runs from $207 - $240. At least $20 - 40 cheaper than the A5 with all these mods. It shoots farther and more accurately than the A5, excepts A5 barrels and the barrel receiver is interchangable so you can use spyders, etc. I don't think the A5 can do that. Oh did I mention that the BT-4 was designed and built by the designer and builder of the A5/98C. The BT-4 is the hybrid with all the problems of the A5 and 98C removed. Also the BT-4 has top and bottom picatinnany rails and you can mount M4/M16 tactical gear on the marker for added realism.

So then why are you buying an A5?

BT's can accept E-grips. I tested out a BT with an e-grip at the IAO and it was pretty nice. I'm not into e-guns at all but it was very nice feeling.

Problems with the A-5:
-overspray on the receiver halves, this creates more friction and slows the gun down a little
-ratchets in the cyclone wear out
-uses MP-5 grip instead of a 45 frame. This means it can't accept new grips like Dye Stickies.

There are some more, I'm just tired and can't think right now.
