Bridges...

When setting the posts in the concrete...make sure the post itself goes THROUGH the concrete, not into it...If it just goes into it, then rainwater will set at the bottom of your post and rot it out. However, if you put the post THROUGH the concrete, water will more easily be able to wick THROUGH the post instead of sitting inside it and rotting it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep that in mind, I didn't even think of that.

Awesome post good work! More to come I hope? Maybe you could get hardcore and give us some instructions as to building and actual fortified structure like a real pillbox? I've seen it before, it was proffesional though - the guys had a backhoe and a Cat. It was sweet though, it was a sunken pillbox with total coverage except the door and the firing position. And, they built up the front of the roof and created two pretty well covered firing positions for players in the prone position. Any thoughts?!

I have been doing research on this for quite a while, I love the stuff you have here! here is an idea that I had thought of incorporating into my own field. I have 80 acres of land, and a track hoe, so digging is real easy for me. Tell me what you think.

I would love to be able to have it so that you could be ontop and inside of this bunker would be fun!

Our course has a sort of tower. We call it the castle. It's kind of scrappy looking but we didn't spend a cent on it, just a lot of work. The pic in the middle is from the other side. The pic on the right is looking from the left to the right on the bottom floor. We have a couch on the second level!
