Anyone have any information or ideas on how to build the flag stations? I think I read somewhere to use PVC Pipe, a couple of eye bolts for the top and bottom, tie nylon or rope through eye bolts, and attach flags to the rope does that sound right?

how we have done them on our fields and for sppl ....is the same type flag stations that are pretty much right on the money...we used 6 to 8 ft 1.5 pvc post {these were then placedd onto a stake about 3-4 ft high}...did the eyebolt anchore as you said...cap'd the tops...made one flag red , the other yellow..[made out of old banner material, that i used grommets on {top and bottom,on one side of the flags} tied the top of one ,passed the line through the eyebolts, and attached the same line to the bottom of the other flag...then connected the top of the second to the bottom of the frist...this way ..when you pull a line down ,that teams color will rise...be perpared for maintance...they get beat up from all the yanking on them.....

By any chance can you post some pics to get a better visual? About the stakes and the other items!
Thanks in advance...

srry to say i dont have any pics...of the finished version...try looking at the sppl pics...see if theres a pic of a player going for the flag....or see if jayson neilsen has any...hes the main man at the sppl...gool...the time you put into these will be worth it....jp

Paintball insurance is not as high now as it was when this was first written. New fields are around $1800 per year as a basis. If you have any questions www.paintballinsurance.com

Anyone thought of using vehicles as a draw card for commercial games? im not saying letting the general public behind the wheel on a bog standard field as that would result in a lot of lawsuits and motor carnage. :D
The idea myself and a few of my paintball mad friends have discussed endlessly is inspired mostly by the movie death race, a simple race track, with a few hairpins and twists and turns in it, this could even be incorporated into most fields as part of the main paths for regular paintball games, but if you and some friends or members of the public who have signed a waiver and gone through a short, simple training/safety briefing can bash it out death race style, with car mounted remote markers with internal hoppers (inside the car, mounted on the roof) for easy reloading, kill points just like on most paintball tanks except rigged to either a kill switch or a obnoxious siren, possibly the safer choice.
The cars could be modified to look like tanks/mad max cars, anything the owner fancy's, safety would be racing seats, roll cage, basically any modifications for a rally car or 4x4, even including rubber bumpers to reduce damage as people are inevitably going to hit each other.
Just an idea at this stage, you could go all the way with it or just leave it at running apc's and possibly the odd tank, either way if you've got something the other field in town doesn't, more people are going to play at yours meaning more money!
