it has a camo tape wrap on it, and also a ghillie pullover, mostly net. it breathes. very important to me. and I get a good breakup pattern. 2nd image is the same setup in the field.

When I saw this in your avatar I thought that it was a manikin wearing mid-evil plate armor.

Wookie,

I know there has been lots of talk about self-painted masks not holding up well, paint cracking etc. How have your paint jobs held up? What kind of paint are you using? I'm digging the ACU job. Nice work.

Im also loving the ACU digital paintjob, I must get myself an airbrush kit and some duracoat soon.

Im thinking that as long as your mask doesnt flex, a good duracoat paintjob would hold up just fine.
my goggles on the other hand are very flexible, I tried painting them and it would continually crack and chip so I had to come up with other alternatives.

Yeah, from the masks that I've seen lately, the manufacturers are pushing the flexible masks that "promote bounces" for whatever thats worth. I haven't had a rigid plastic mask in some years. I'm going to try my hand at Krylon-ing my back up marker and mask before I take the step up to a duracoat job. (I dont have to explain $20 worth of spray paint to the wife...but $130 worth of duracoat and airbrush stuff would warrant a justification, or even worse, a trade off)
