remember: practice and theory are 2 different things and E does not equal MC2
go get your own SIM-4 and try it.
I mean, really?
That's the defense? "physics has no bearing on my equipment"?
So the... lemme think here... 20 years of practical playing experience, the hours and hours of time spent on target ranges, the thousands of dollars spent on paint I shot at nothing but hanging targets, the fact that I've shot damn near every gun on the market at one point or another.... All of that is basically garbage because your "Sim-4" can break the laws of practical physics and shoot a ball further at the same velocity.
Call NASA, they need to use that gun's technology for massdrivers.
Believe what you want to believe. If you want to believe that an A-5 can't shoot 100 FEET without arcing shots, you go right on ahead. You want to believe that porting somehow makes a ball fly further at a standard exit velocity, sure why not. Heck if you want to believe that yetis built your paintgun and gave it magical properties to raise the dead and lets you talk to hamsters, go for it.
You know tho, this does remind me of an old story. There used to be a gun back in the day called an "Icon-Z". It used CO2. Players would chrony the gun in at 275 FPS, and all was good. On the field, they would seriously longball ROPES of paint. I mean they were out-ranging people by a good 50 feet, which is unholy distance. See, what these players knew, and wouldn't tell people sometimes, is that it ran on liquid CO2. So in the chrony line, it'd shoot 275 with no liquid in the line. Once you started shooting it, and the liquid would get into the siphon tube, it'd jack up the velocity by a good 30-50 FPS. It was a fantastic illusion. But not all Icon-Z players did this. In fact, Mike Hanse ("Blue") told me that his team used Icons, and would walk on the field at 220 FPS knowing that their play speed was going to be around 275 once the liquid got into the gun.
