There always seems to be many many many many many threads titled "which is better" or something similar. This is what I have to say to that...
GO OUT AND TRY THESE PRODUCTS FOR YOURSELF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
The following will be a list of ways to try out the products.
Numbers one and two are what I would reccomend you try and do if at all possible.
1- The number one best way to get a sense of a product is to get your grubby paws on it and play with it. Borrow the stuff from a friend, rent it from your field.
2- Check it out in the staging area. You see a more expirianced player in the staging area who has the particular product you are interested in, GO ASK HIM TO LOOK AT IT. Very rarely will somone say no to you, after all, you're just gonna be standing right next to them checking out their stuff...Also something pretty cool, the person might even let you play a game or two with their marker so you can get a feel for it. Paintballers generally like to show off thier gear and get noticed, so they'll generally be glad to hook you on their particular marker. If they own it, they'll also be pretty darn good at answering your questions.
Numbers three and four are kinda weak as far as actual gained knowlege go, but its better than nothing.
3- Go to your local pro shop or paintball supplier and look at the actual product, If its something on the wall back behind the counter, ask someone to get it down and let you hold it, the people who work in these stores are generally very kind and will answer as many questions as they can. If you're really lucky, they may even let you go out back to rip some dry fire or try on stuff.
4- Look it up on the internet. Just go to GOOGLE or YAHOO and search the product you're looking for, something will pop up. You can also go to a paintball specific site like PBreview or Warpig and see if they have a review on the particular product.
These four methods of research all do pretty much the same thing. They give you a sense of whether or not you'll like the product you've been considering. As they were listed, they go in an order of "best" to "not best" ways of checking out products.
The whole reason you check out products you're interested in is so you can build your own opinions and not have to ask for other's opinions with frequent questions like "which marker is better" or "what mask should I get".
