I think it is mainly a problem with fields down there. Last year they got the run around trying to put on the tournament. Alot of teams that were supposedly interested had to bow out of the SPPL due to threats from some field owners. I do not know the whole story but remember some talk about it last year. Rory will be back in a few days and I am sure he will be able to answer your questions alot better than myself.

age limit has been done away with this year. So as long as your are legal to play at the host fields then you are good to go.

Threats from Texan field owners?

Wow, I hope to hear this story as well.
Might have to stop going to a field if they are going to act-up that much about something new.

If you want a SPPL field you are going to have to build it. Or convince a feild owner to build it.

Spec Ops can only go so far in trying to set things up....they need the help of the feild owners and local players to set up a SPPL regional game. IF the field owners decide they do not want to sacrafice their walk on profits for a woodsball tourney.

Some of the same problems have been had in California.

Build it...they will come!

The problem I see in Texas is the size.....I know most people dont have a issue with traveling...but if you have a game in northren texas it is not fair for the guys down south.....

Hey the only way I am playing texas is if you get a armadillo to come out on the field!!!

Well, since I'd consider coming from Colorado to a Texas Qualifier, I'd really hope the teams inside Texas would be willing to travel to a qualifier within their own state, even if it meant a couple hours of travel....
