For your first question, I think immediately if its faded, its old.

Now, if somone gave me a BS call I get PO'ed. In 'real' sports I let the refs know it. Sorry to sound like a donkey, but i hate it when the 'home court' refs truely act as such. Especially in tourney ball I'd be mad. Most of the teams ref, so I would assume they were tryin to cheat you to make a gain for themselves in one way or another. ow of course, that arguement might be on my way out of the field or after the game i might give him a hard time, but thats just who I am. However, the remarks and arguements i make are normally under my breathe, but loud enough the ref can still hear it, so if he wants to say I said somthing no one else heard it so he cant do anything. I'm just really competetive. I dont throw a fit but I'm a donkey to 'em somtimes. Of course, thats all if I have lost my respect for 'em. Shoot, i joke around with the refs all the time between plays regardless if they're the football refs i know or out of town refs I'll never see again.

1. He's out, it hit him an busted.

2. If its quarter sized pull 'em, other wise I'd keep an eye on him.

3. No. Honestly, depends on the person. However, I'll try an give them the benefit of the doubt.

4. I'd start to head over and see if it was a break. However, once i confirm if its a break or not I would wait a second and let him deceide whether or not he wants a penalty. If he pulls himself out, then I give him some respect too and that might influence later calls that i would deem questionable.

At my field (during rec-ball at least) i usually dont count limb or gun hits, unless they are a DIRECT hit. If they just skim of i dont count it.
You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last nite, or that you got a ticket on the way there.. your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth.. live it.. love it.. Paintball 4 life..

For Question 4, if I feel a hit, I'll touch the spot where I feel the hit, look at my finger. If there's paint, I'm out, if there's not, then I'll try to see the actual point I got hit. If I can't, then I call a paint check.

If it hits and breaks anywhere on them or their gear call them out. No arguing period.

Ooooh I'm so glad you asked this question. Its be on my mind too.

1 You see a paintball hit player "a", it breaks but leaves less than a quarter of paint on him, for arguments sakes, dime sized.

I'm a believer in the quarter rule myself. However because I'm not a rich man I could go for the nickle or dime rule. Player, you are out!

2 You see the same thing, you dont know if it breaks or not, but you see splater on gear and area of suspected hit.

This is completly up to the judges. Clearly if there is splatter after theres been contact on the player, its only logical that you've marked the player. Call a ref and have him check it. Player, you are in the refs hands!

3. You see a player run into a bunker/ tree/ slide into a bunch of broken paint, he now clearly has paint and shell on him, do you pull him? Now say you didnt see him slide or run into the bunker, you see the same thing, he's covered in every paint there is, and he tells you it was from the bunker, do you belive him?

I say you pull the trigger and land another one on him. If he's covered in paint then a bit more won't hurt. If he claims that he hasn't been shot then you toss him out on account of being the UNINTELLIGENT DONKEY who decided to go swimming in a bunker. Player, you better believe you are out!

4 You see a player get hit, it looks kinda like it breaks, he touches it, could look like wipeing, he looks at his hand, Ok pretend time freezes, he's either gonna call himself, its gonna be a wipe, or he calls you over, what is your say at this point? do you wait? do you pull him either way?

Though you may not agree, I think you have to give people the chance to be honest before you can repremand them for cheating. If he's wiped then the spot which has been hit will be damp as will his hands. Give him the chance to call himself out. If he doesn't go... well people are comically thrown from establishments all the time for less. Player, you are most likely going to the dead box.

For hits different fields have different rules. Some say a quarter some a dime you have to go with the field. I also belive in giving the player a second or two he can do the good thing or keep going if you saw the paint hit and spray and the player just keeps going you have a playing on. Durring rec ball I always try to give the player a chance and the benfit of the dout if its is close I would say they are live and use my towel to clean it. In most of the tournys I have reffed if you see a hit and spray the player is out no question what they do after the hit shows what kind of Person they are if the get behind a bunker and check for the hit or yell for a paint check because it is in a spot that is hard to check you can call them out and tell them that you saw the hit. If they contiue on and keep shooting then be a hardass and nail them.
Its simple I saw the hit,

You misunderstood the question,

He slides into the bunker and there is broken and unbroken paint on the ground or on the Tree/bunker, so it rubs off on him, He didnt get hit.

Another questionable call came up for me yesterday, i wanna hear what you guys think of this.

I was up agianst a bunker and two guys had me surrounded i went all out for one of them (not running just completly exposed to him, but not to the other guy) I got the guy out and at the same time my teammate got the other guy. apparently the other guy hit me, i got the player out before the ref got in there and called it, but it had broken on one of my pods so i counlt feel it.

is that playing on? should there have been a penatly assessed for me?

No that is not playing on a hit in the pods is not one that a player may even hear as long as you leave when the ref calls you out. The back in the pods is one area that almost all of the leagues see a hit the player may not even know happened.
