if i am reading this correctly the automag x valve acts more like a regulator (or classic valve) when the input presure is under 800 i was thinking of setting mines to 825.

but you need to mention that they need a reliable air source i use a air america non preset tank i can crank 1000 if i wanted to i was looking around on some website their isn't that many tank manufactures out their making adjustable tanks mags like air it should never be under 810 if you have a 800 psi tank buy a 850.

mags eat gas plus with the shot to shot consitent you'll save money when you use less paint.

That is very true, I will be sure to add that. When I said that it will work like a Classic Valve on 750 is that it will indeed work pretty much in every way just like a Classic Valve. First off, it will recharge slower than the X-Valve should. Also, the first and following slow shots (spaced atleast 10 seconds apart) will be very close in velocity. While you say it should never be under 810, this is only true in part. If set under 800 (as in around 750), you might as well just have a Classic Valve, unless your marker came stock with it.

I will make sure to add the part about tanks. I am thinking about adding a "required" and "recommended" upgrades section.

Yes, and Automag and Minimag are both the same marker, but the mainbody on the Minimag is differant than most.

As far as getting this stickied, as much as I could wish to get it stickied, unless a moderator (or it may require an admin; not sure) sees it and likes it, there is no chance. The only suggestion I would have to anyone who would want it stickied would be to recommend it to the mods and admin. I am not personally going to, because they wouldn't sticky it if I asked, but if enough others from this section asked, they might consider it.

Wow, I just fixed a very confusing phrase. I talked about the "saw horse effect" of the level ten, when I really meant see-saw/teeter totter, when talking about spring pressure vs. bolt pressure in the level 10 that reduces chops.

Excellent article. Very well worth the read. I am still getting to know the intimate details of my own personal automag, as stuff like this really helps.

Could one of you guys gimme a PM letting me know how I can become an automaggot?

Good post. Very informative, love how you got the complete collection of diagrams and animations. The only recommendation I have is possibly put up some pictures of what the various markers look like (minimag vs. classic; E-Mag; Tac-One, etc...) and also add a section on the warpfeed.
