Heres the link to the flight of the paintballs article from APG. I own a 14 inch hammerhead battlestix barrel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new barrel.

I ordered mine Friday and recieved it the next Thursday, I'm really itching to test out the kit. Is it me or is it getting harder to stay inside not playing paintball with the weather getting nicer?

Just to add to umc when hammer head came to the convention center they said the control bore was long enouygh since with the freek your realy shooting a six inch barrel since the control bore is avutauly six inches and the rest is a large diamiter barrel. Im realy interested in it but i blew so much money on the ion drat but when i get gun 2.0 matrix then i will get the kit. Cool review.

Hey y'all,

the black barrels are a soft black that does not reflect. -Atleast mine is that way. I have heard that the pro series is made more for speedball than scenario.

the Battle Stikx recon is made mainly for woodsballers/scenario play.

If you want to send yours back and swap them, I'm pretty sure that they will allow it.

After reading this great review and what people have said about it, I am sold. I have been looking to get a good accurate barrel for my A-5.

I am looking at picking up the 14" Battle Stikxx and just one of the fins for now. Is there a size that is good for all around use because I don't always buy the same paintballs. Over time, I will pick up the rest of the fins, but what would be a good size to get for starting out?

They come in .683, .686, .688, .690, and .693

Well they say that on the site that because it is better for a small ball to go through a bigger barrel (will make it less accurate) than a big ball to go through a smaller barrel (will cause breaks and all hope for accuracy) However you probably wont have a need for the .693 there isn't much paint that is that big. I foud a website once that gave the average bore sizes for all the brands a paintballs, perhaps if you searched google you might find it or something like it

I would advise you to get the barrel that excepts the 5 different bore sizers -the battle stikx recon. The Bore Sizing is the most important part!

I as well would go with the average paint size if you stay with your choice.

-hope this helps

I don't own a Hammer Head barrel but I've played against a guy that was using one. I've never been so frustrated. I had my head poking out from behind a bunker. I could see him a good distance away. He was far enough away that I wasn't even concerned with him. I was more concerned with the guy that was much closer. So I made sure I was out of view of the guy close to me but I could see the guy with the HH. I saw him pull his marker up to shoot. I kind of laughed to myself at his confidence that he could hit me from where he was. Then everything turned ORANGE. He landed one ball right in the center of my lens. I had to deal with him all day.I learned real quick to respect the accuracy of his HH barrel. He just had a simple one piece and he always bought the same paint that he knew matched that barrel. I've seen guys on SpecOps arguing that the HH barrels don't spin the ball so they don't work. Evidently they don't have a clue what they're talking about. THE HAMMER HEAD BARRELS WORK AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!

Didn't the Blackcell Q-Bow have a HH, or was that the Saber?
