I just started using them a few weeks ago and I love them. I dive and slide alot and have not had any problems. My local store sells them for I think 25 bucks if you buy a 6 pack whick then make it just over 4 bucks a pod.

Well about 2 years ago I talked about how I love these things.
Now-a-days, though, I'm using more regular pods.

Why the switch? Well, reloading an Empire Reloader B with Lock Lids is annoying unless you're completely empty.
I'm left having a dozen shots or so left in the pod. I either just toss it and lose that paint (which I don't like doing with expensive paint), or I put it down and reload a couple seconds later to finish it off.

And while in the 2 years of pretty heavy use none (8) of them have broken, the lids themselves have been weakened and will occasionally just pop open. While going and spending another $20 or whatever it is now to replace them isn't a big deal, it's just something that's not too high on my 'things to buy' list. Also, tossing pods is an issue now. A few occasions I have tossed a lock lid, only to have someone try and take it. Luckily I mark all my pods with a unique sticker, but still, no one bothers stealing my normal pods.

2 Year Rating - 9/10

I just bought some of these babies a month ago and i love them. But I will only give them a 8/10, for three reasons.
1. Price they are alittel more expensive than they need to be, but in the end they are worht it.
2. They don't fit all harnesses.
3. The pods themselves will not break easaliy but if you roll on them or fall on them they flex and can break the paint inside.

I have somehting like 18 or so Dye Lid Locks. I love them. Once in awhile a pod may open but that is usually few and far between. I had more trouble with regular pods coming open when trying to extract them from my vest. If you are wondering why I have so many, its because when i am playing scenario and need to reload quickly, I just throw the empties in a storage container and replace them with already filled pods.

Ok a true testament to their durability. I weigh over 350 lbs and i fell on my butt and guess where my lock lids were. The dang things didn't open or nothing. So if a wide load like me can fall on them and they don't break they can handle anything.

My vest can carry 8 pods at 160 paintballs is 1280. I picked up a Macdev Cyborg this spring and with its efficiency, I can get 1900+ on a 68/4500. I may add an NXE 3 pod pack that can be worn on a belt so I can carry 1760 plus 220 in my hopper. During a big scenario game or more to the point, during the final battle, I really hate to run out of paint.

My Empire 4+5 won't take lock lids very well. People should try them in their harness before buying.

imo pods are pods but i do love the quality of the lock lids. they fit snug and are easy to grab ahold of. i hate when pods slip and spill.

Dye lock pods are great. The dimples help them stay in my NXe 4+1 even if I forget to velcro the empty ones in after a reload. Only had em for about 3 weeks so I don't know first hand how long they hold up.

ive had loc lids for about two years now, got all mine second hand, and they have held up nicely, like the way they dont pop open like other pods, durable, can get the paint in htere nicely so doesnt shake around

however i do think they are overpriced hence why i bought all mine second hand

I've used these for about a year. My whole setup is these. I got most of mine off Action Village for about $2 each.
