The one about the Hungarian Countess is true. You know Dracula exsisted? Dead serious...he was known as Vlad The Impaler, or Vlad Dracula. (I think I have the first name wrong...) But anyways, he drank thousands upon thousands of people's blood after impaling them through their stomachs outside.

No, he dipped his bread in their blood. His name was Vlad Dracul II his father was Vlad Dracul I they found him in a house that had fallen down due to an earthquake and he struck out at them with such ferocity that the king Vlad Dracul I adopted and renamed him. Dracul or Dracula means Son of the Dragon.

Actually, Vlad the Impaler impaled people through their rectums...then dined amid the stakes while they slowly slid down them.

And this one time, at band camp...three Turkish ambassadors visited him. They refused to remove their turbans, as it was considered a gross breach of courtesy to do that in public. So he nailed the turbans to their heads and sent them back to Turkey.

The bit about the earthquake and adoption is untrue (unfortunately, because it's pretty cool)...the "Son of the Dragon" bit comes simply from the fact that his father was known as "the Dragon" because of the vicious way he defended his territory form the Ottoman Turks. Dracula was known for the same.

The blood drinking/eating, also, is totally untrue. Dracula viciously punished cannibals by impaling. He was known, in his time, to be just and honest. He didn't tolerate any dissent, however, and was a cruel sonofaFEMALE DOG.
