I used two different techniques on my A-5 and Mask. The mask is a true Tiger-Stripe, while the A-5 has a ghosted stripped technique for the ultimate in stealth-ability.
(I just got the Special Ops Offset SmokeStack, so I need to paint it yet. Before playing again, I will also paint the airline, and tape off the Tippman A-5 badge.)

Its not that I dislike the traitional style camo patterns, but I notice that most real life example patterns are usually not in those forms. I personally like the ghosted look better. It does look complex, but I supose it would be very possible with the right color combos.
My friend who was Marine 1 for several years, bought one of these bad boys from "iron brigade", and is waiting til it comes in some time in March. Takes a year to get the order in, since its totally hand made and tuned. Cost him $6,000. But he plans on joining up with Black Water, or a similar private group, so it will be worth the money spent.
I'll get some pictures of it up close when he gets it.
Anyhow here is some pics of the pattern these guys use.

The Textured Finish leaves your equipment gritty, almost like 220 grit sandpaper, which will help give you grip when your hands get sweaty in the summer. Just be sure to remove all grit from your internals!
RUST-OLEUM Textured Finish has a really nice Olive Drab, Black, and Dark Brown color; (but watch out for the Tan color, the sandy-type grit tends to be really shiny and reflects light!!!)
Those M40A1's look pretty cool. Sort of a cross between RealTree and Ghosting. I've seen guys use real leaves and twigs as a template too. It works pretty well to copy the RealTree look.

Hopefully I will figure out a way to reproduce the look.

My dulies. I only used two colors, and I know the red is a little shiny, but c'mon... they're stingrays! I dig the 'am stripe' one. Thanks for the lesson Wookie.

if your house was on fire and the first thing you would grab is your paintball gear, put this in your sig.
if paintball is your anti drug, put this in your sig
if your parents dont buy your gear, put this in your sig
if the only original part of your marker is the frame, put this in your sig
