Allright, I have owned this waste of plastic for nearly three months. I have tried every way immaginaible to make it work and it flat out does not. I have contacted Fire Fox for help and their customer service is worse than Wal-Mart's. All in all I have decided that as a choker color it preforms exceptionaly well so if you are in the market for plastic jewelry with attached cords then this is the product for you. If you are looking for a mic that works at all let alone in any condition I would avoid this waste of time and money like the plague.
Historicly the best way to convert a Liberal is to have them move out of their parents home, get a job and start paying taxes...

in other words, make sure your radio is capable of VOXX.

What set up are you guys using? By that I mean what type of radios are you guys using? I recently bought the Fire Fox mics and I'm not to sure about them. I'm using them with Motorola Talkabouts T5600 said to have a 3 mile radius. But upon the first time using them I had a hard time hearing the other person. I had a lot of static-interference. Is it just my radios? Or am I doing something else wrong. :P

I have owned a couple. Teammates have owned several. Members of other Colorado teams have owned them. A mod on this very forum owns one.

ALL have said they'd never purchase one again. They can put the transponder against their voice box, but it would move within minutes, cutting off valid transmissions very quickly.

Personally, I'm going to try something from www.ixradio.com

Firefox throat mics are made ONLY for motorola radios. in order to use them with any other brand, you have to buy a $10 adapter plug, resulting in 3 plugs coming out of your radio.
adapter->pushbutton->throat mic

I had a talk with a fairly organized group of paintballers recently that said they use their firefox mics for 2-3 games and then send them in for replacement from FireFox Technologies, doing it over and over again, because they keep breaking.
