Heard a shorter version of that from someone....longer one is more dramatic!

Remember: Get that appointment for the laser procedure!!

My mom has some junk(there is a technical term, can't remember) on here eye that causes worse and worse sight and blurryness. She has gotten one of her eyes scraped (cringe just hereing it ;) ) because and will probably have to get it on the other as well.

As for me the worst eye injury I have had was when in 8th grade someone scraped/small cut my eye with one of those plastic covers on the binder (was serrated because plastic bends when torn off) when someone shoved it in my eye and pulled across my face basically cutting my eye(I didn't close my eye lid in time). I was damn lucky also.... not even close to yours but kinda similar. I didn't have near the pain or headaches you did because there wasn't that pressure issue. I had to wear a patch for a month and put this goopy stuff in my eye mutiple times a day. I couldn't look in light. The pain was pretty bad, again not like yours, but it was worst I have felt especially because you can't touch it! Very very agitating kinda like the worst time something was in your eye but x10(not counting 1-I).

I was lucky though....100% better eventually and no major surgery! I might have some light issues though...still somethings I see are questionable ...maybe I am just seeing things though.

So....they are getting pretty advanced in eye technology today ...who knows maybe they can fix it one day..........til then best of luck and wear your masks!!!!

Pinned I see, thats good, especially for the beginners to the sport who think they're rambo. The less injuries this sport has, the more players we will get, and a better reputation, until one day... Olympics here we come!

to show people how important it is to keep your mask on until the game is over and everyone has their barrel plugs in.

little bit that i kinda forgot to add earlier, its not that important but I found it interesting.

So at some point while adjusting to cyclops life style the "what ifs" starting comeing to mind.

What if i didnt peak again, what if i hadnt gone the hospital, what if i did lose my eye, what if i hadnt been a brat and let my dad to the the store to get lotto tickets that week they called his number for pick 3 and what if i had kept the sunglasses on? aside from the dad being rich question the sunglasses one was the one that bothered me the most, could I have avoided eye injurie if i had worn the sunglasses for that moment. As i spent time thinking about this i then came up with the other question, since it was freezeing out would the glasses have totally splintered my eyes.

Test time, one pair of sunglasses that i had worn that day (single lense style) put them into a freezer for an hour or so, gas up the talon, grab the mask (proof ive learned something) and go outside and shoot the sunglasses. Total anilation and splinters flew everwhere, this would have destroyed both my eyes and I would have forever been known as "No I"

Lesson learned, paintball approved gear only.

on the question about this thread being pinned: I, myself and the voices that be, do not care if this thread stays pinned. To me this is just a story about me and should not be any more important then a story about any of you, but some of you think differently. Some of you think that there is an invaluble lesson to be learned and your probally right. That is the reason that its stickyed, and to those of you that have pm'd me about being a hero and such. Im not and the hero worship ends now, go thank your dad or someone like that.

Hey man. That was a deep story. That had to be like hell. Do you mind if I print this off and give it to my local field to show people who don't think they need a mask? That had to be hard though.
