I've been hit by a water ballon from 10 stories up and it hit me in the eye. My whole face went numb and I had a nice big Herbert and a nice big black eye for a week or two. Luckily I closed my eye before it popped or anything. I still have perfect use of my eye though.

i took a line drive right in my eye playin baseball once, was out cold for about a minute. thankfully, though, i still have perfect vision in that eye (well, same as the other eye, at least). had the worst black eye i've ever seen, was swole shut for the next day and a half.

""3- break the rules and get an earfull about it from me, please note screaming isnt a problem for me and I do it well. also banishment from games with me and I will inform local fields about you and discourage your presence if necissary.""

Where me and my friends play, if you break the mask rule, we give you a mask and 10 seconds to run before you get popped by several players. We've never need to use it but this is a great insentive(spelling?) to not have to worry about injuries like this.

In 1970 the Chevy Nova was created. This was the worst selling car in Mexico because the words "No va" mean "Doesn't go". If you would never buy a Saturn Ion because the word "Ion" means "Doesn't shoot", Put this in your profile.

Yeah, literaly.

Actualy, I didn't find out 'till we met the next day for the youths christmas eve service (he only had to read half a chapter with a half swollen eye).

He was wearing sun glasses and they were making jokes about his eyes, when I saw it I could hardly belive it. He was also carying a mirror around the whole day. Before that his nick name was superman because of all the superman stuf he had. Now, I think he kind of earned it.

Yeah, but what if he takes his mask off while running away?

That was deep and I hope that posting this and/or stickying this will prevent the same thing from happening to someone else.

Another thing to keep in mind is that when a gun is hot (in regards to being loaded and having air to it) that a barrel is always capped, safety or not. Someone I was with got hit in the neck point blank from some guy's A-5 e-grip....on safe.

Honestly I'm surprised you only had retinal bleeding as far as internal damage goes, many boxers have their optic nerves break off break off when they take a hit to the eye just wrong. Be very happy that didn't happen to you.

This is a great story for people because you only have two eyes, and they are very fragile. The human eye is so incredibly complex that to even think of replacing one is not possible. Most injuries to the eyes in fact will never heal, your issues with light seem par for the course.

I'm sure that if you still wear contacts you are probably militant (or at least very good) with keeping then clean and changed and taking proper care of them. I used to work at the office my mom works at (she's an optometrist) and it's amazing how people abuse their eyes not thinking anything bad will happen.

This story just makes me want to be even more harsh about the rules with no masks on while a game is in play. As it is only one other friend of mine will hound people as much if not more than I do when people start taking masks off when a game is in play.

I feel liket the biggest DUMPER right now. 1-i, your one of the best paintballers I know, and I didnt take the proper time to read this because I just too damn lazy. I took one look at it and said, "Too long, maybe some other time." And right now I say that I am sorry.

So, I will carry an extra pair of sunglasses :) , goggles, and lens to every day of paintball.

Thank for that story, now I'm saving it to my computer. I hope many will catch on, my own friend has been doing some insane acts one the feild beacuse of fogging up, which is no excuse. I'll be sure that he reads this.
