For a just a sniper no, but for all the positions yes. That way if yuor gun goes down you have back-up to keep you butt safe until it is repaired.

Just got mine in the mail off a shweet Ebay deal. It should offset the role of my WG-65 A2 nicely -- A2 for a sniper role, pistol when I want to move/capture/assassinate. I don't know that I'll take both into a game too often, but then, why not?

If i had a pistol i would defenately use it, it would be pretty cool. I cant really afford one now but I bet they can be pretty handy, and really cool. I carry a decent sizede hopper with my rifle and it is nice when the targets come too close for comfort. If you think they are nessesary buy one!

i have a friend that abandoned the woods for speedball after buying some ugly tourny gun, and no longer has use for his PT extreme, so i;ve been borrowing it every othr weekend for the past 3 months, and it saved me 3 times, and i won the game with it once. i was the last player on my team, and there were 2 of them (it was straight eliomination, not capture the flag), and crawled around to the side of one that had holed up behind an obstacle. i took him out, but accidentally gave the other guy an angle on me since i had no clue where he was. he opend up on me as soon as i shot the first guy, but his shots all went over me. I pulled the pistol off my leg and emptied it in is general direction, and somehow hit hime twice. my rifle was on one side of a tree, and he was on the other. i would of never got it around in time and woulda lost if it wasn't 4 the pistol.

There are times where i wish i had a pistol. last time i played for instance, I had somebody pinned down, but i broke a ball while pinning him and i was basically spraying paint at him. i moved to a new spot on his flank, and he had no idea i was there. I had what would normally be a nice and easy one shot kill (from that spot anyway) and i wasted a lot of paint hoping that one of the balls would make it out of the barrel alive. Luckily, he ran out of CO2, and i got the kill, but a pistol would have made my life easier.

Pistols are just bad to play with. I hate playing with the 10 ft.-surrender rule and hardly ever abide by it. Pistols are great fun for executionary style kills. I once snuck around behind a guy trenched in behind a bunker, and told him to surrender. He put his gun down, only to pull a pistol from his belt and pelt me in the neck with it.
