Although I dont carry one there have been many occasions I wish I did... I'm looking to get an ariakon overlord and I want to get a shoulder holster for it. I feel like it would be more comfortable there and if not... atleast I'll look cool!

There's times I've wished I've had one, and times they could have saved me. Pistols have a smaller footprint and thus are less noticeable, and also harder to hit. This can be useful when shooting from a concealed location. Some places you shoot from may be more confined than others, and you may be unable to bring your rifle to bear effectively.

Really wish i had one last game. Cyclone feed jammed up as i engaged an attacker (i was defending) From my position i could have still taken him down if i had even a junk backup.. but alas.. all i could do was call my teammates for backup and keep him distracted untill help could arrive. Found and fixed the problem and continued on, but it definately moved a backup pistol up my priority list.

I've been playing paintball for about 4 years, and I've never felt the need to have a pistol. They are damn cool, but my Sim 15 gets the job done.

I carry one every time I play and for all positions. It's a good item to have in your kit.

IMO, it's better to have, then have not.

It's not just necessary, it's the only way.

Well, I may be a little biased. I own a PGP2k1 and an autococker and the autococker doesn't even see the field anymore.

The gunwhore's motto. B)

It's true, btw. :D

I find pistols not necessary but very very handy. Serves as a good back up if your marker cops out on you during a game, and it works great if you're going to do a little ghost flanking/assassination of a Captain in the SPPL. Without a marker to slow you down, you can just HAUL through the woods, and move a good deal faster than a team with big ol A-5s, and their many extra pounds of paint.

I belive it was the great Irish Philosopher Murphy that said if you have it you will not need it, and if you have you won't need it; smart guy. I just got a Zeus G2 it's a brilliant sidearm and when you don't have one like murphy said you'll need it

*recocks his old Daisy Model 188* Until I can scrounge the cash, I'm stuck training with this thing. At least it's the right weight. It's a solid steel BB pistol that weighs about the same as a .45 Auto. I'm planning on getting a Zeus G2 in the near future, though. Probably at Christmas.

Not to get off topic, but have any of you used a Real Action T68 Pistol? They sound and look very solid.

lol can you say stock player? No offense I just got a used old style PGP to use as a sidearm. I ended up using it in speedball.

That t86 looks nice. Has anyone here tried it out?
