Ok, I finally got it in the mail a few days ago, and this vest is beautiful! It even has a Broadsword position patch already sewn on. It is constructed of mainly mesh as we all know, but is as strong and durable as it gets. The front zipper is pretty heavy duty, similar to the ones I’ve seen on SCUBA gear The pockets are made of 1000D Cordura Canvas.
There are enough pockets on the vest to hold anything you need for even a long scenario game. The radio pocket, grenade pockets, and lower right accessory pocket are modular so you can move then around on the front of the vest. They wont come off during a game. The locations I use (upper, lower, right, left) are looking straight at the vest, not wearing it. The two Velcro attached grenade pockets are big enough to hold the largest of grenades and even 1 100 rd pod each, without closing the flap of course. The radio pocket will fit most standard radios us paintballers use, unless you have a really big one, and like I said before, it can be moves around in its area. You could probably even but a MOLLE or ALICE pocket and put it on instead. The large lower-right accessory pouch is also velcroed on there. It can hold big stuff, seeing that it is about 6 ½ inches by 6 inches by about 4 inches deep. The upper left accessory pouch has a flip down scenario id holder on the outside. It might be a little small for a map though. The inside is sealed by a zipper that goes ¾ the way around the pocket. It is divided on the inside by an elastic band thing, so you can separate whatever you put in there. The hydration pocket is on the inside of the vest. This allows it to be protected from anything that might puncture. The pocket breathes through when there is nothing.
Adjusting the vest is pretty easy, the two shoulder straps are Velcro that can be easily fit to your needs. Inside the vest is an elastic/Velcro band that can be as tight or loose as you want it. The sides of the vest are held together with 3 straps per side that canbe adjusted to your width. If properly adjusted, you can carry a lot of weight without feeling it. Mine has 6 full pods and a 72/3000 steel tank. When I pick up the vest with my hand, its pretty heavy. When I get it on, I cant even feel the weight.
The back of the vest is a 6+2+1 design, six pods in upside down (lid of pod faces down) Velcro holsters, two pods on either side held in by elastic bands, and one HUGE tank pouch. The tank can be put in either left or right for left or right hand shooters, which is great because not many things are made for us lefties. Above the tank pouch is a piece of Velcro that you can put a team name or player name, callsign, whatever on.
There is one "problem" with this vest:
1. Costs a lot of money. Solution: get a job
But thats what you get with quality
Overall Rating: 9.9 of 10
Great Product Special Ops!
